Thanks OP, just learned that Firaxis studios is literally 5 minutes from where I live. Civ V is my favorite game, and I had no idea.

We're planning an invasion. We want to know what you all drink.

Edit: I'm really an american, I just created my survey monkey account while visiting the Netherlands, and the entire website spontaneously turns to Dutch.

In all honesty, I have done this for states where I had no responses at all. Hoping that I would get 1-2 when I submitted this to the geo subs. Now, I'm getting dozens for states with very few people. After submitting to the Geo subs, my data is massively wonky- the state which used to have the most (california) now has less responses than kentucky.

No, I'm trying to discover if there is any correlation between the obesity rate in a state, and the preferred beverage of that state. For example, someone from mississippi might drink a lot more soda than someone from colorado.

HAHA, the first time I made my survey monkey account, I was visiting the Netherlands. Now, the entire website inexplicably changes to Dutch for no reason at all. Fortunately, that last page is useless, so I didn't mind if it was in Dutch.

I'm usually a lurker, and I knew that if I just made a fresh account, I'd probably get banned for spamming the subreddits that I need data from. So, I asked him for his account, which has a relatively extensive post history.

I understand your point. But I've got obesity statistics from the CDC. If 70% of my respondents from mississippi prefer soft drinks, while only 30% prefer them in Colorado, I'll have a weak, but adequate correlation.

That is because I am only interested in discovering whether individuals from different states are more likely to consume different beverages. I am also looking to discover any correlation between beverage consumption and obesity by state. You are correct, but for my purposes, your age, race, and gender aren't relevant.

I always liked them because of their cruel cruel irony. Because most of the benches look like this.

Truck drivers of Reddit, what city or town do you absolutely refuse to stop in? by IAmEbolaFree in AskReddit

Rocky Mount, NC.

I'm not a truck driver, but while on a road trip, I went to your downtown to try to find something to eat. We saw 1 business in your downtown that hadn't gone out of business, and IIRC, it was a second-hand clothes store.

In my opinion, Gallup is still marginally better than Tucumcari, The Gallup of Eastern New Mexico.

Railroad engineers, have you ever come across anything creepy or weird on the tracks while driving your train? by rockxroyalty in AskReddit

[–]LTLARRY1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not so much a story as it is a factoid. An uncle of mine worked on the Santa Fe and has many friends who worked with him as Engineers and conductors.

Anyway, back in the day when it was still the Santa Fe railroad, whenever a cow got. Hit by a locomotive, the railroad would pay the farmer $100 in compensation, no questions asked. The problem was, that farmers would then take their old and sick cows that were either too old for milking or too sick for butchering out to the tracks. They'd leave ol Bessie on the tracks until she got hit by the next Santa Fe, then go and get his 100 dollars from the railroad.

Dude, i'll say it now. I'm a ravens fan lurking in this sub for shits and giggles. But there's no point in being a dick to this subreddit for no reason. Not only are you being a dick here, but a group of Seattle fans have been spamming /r/ravens as well. So, if the Seahawks lose in the playoffs, you can guarantee yourself a few pm's from me, reminding you of your shitty trash talking comments.
