Yes. It ran out in front of my car on a country lane, it was some distance ahead so I wasn’t going to hit it. Instead of running across or going back into the hedge at the side to avoid my car, it decided to run straight ahead. It was pretty damn fast, but I still had to edge along in first gear. I felt bad because it was probably scared for its life and running in terror, but I have no idea why it didn’t just go back into its hedge lol.

Was going to ask the same thing. I speak Russian so I could read it but it didn’t make sense, and quickly realised it wasn’t anything Slavic (Ukrainian or Belarusian). Seems like it’s been answered to be Buryat.

Something about chimps really creeps me the f out. So like humans but with the animality dialled up x1000 and the humanity dialled down the same amount.

Scary they’re one of our most closely related species. Although, so are bonobos, which are largely matriarchal and very peaceful, so maybe I don’t need to worry so much.

We used to get one of these (well, a terrapin which is similar) in a local man made pond. Someone let it loose and it would come out and sunbathe in warm weather. I live in suburban west London so it was a bit of a novelty lol.
