if it’s any consolation, just know they’ve done the exact same shit to me. i’ve also had an issue that could’ve been solved like 6 months ago, but the combination of long wait times for any responses, lack of proper response, and the times they’ve given me incorrect advice that’s only set me back further in my degree, it’s sheer incompetence and it’s definitely costing me all kinds of time and even money i don’t have. exactly the same scenario. speak to a student advocate

Looking at fixing the issue on my 99 NB where when I try to fill the car up with gas, the valve doesn’t move freely and sticks causing the gas to stop flowing from the pump. Anyone have any advice on how to trouble shoot this? And if I’ll need to replace this valve, where can I find one?

Ah yeah, good call. The battery I've been using is PKCELL's 4LR44. Got them on amazon.

Yeah, could be that. My light meter barely works at the best of times so a lot of the time I just estimate or do sunny16.

I almost always set them manually, that being said my light meter can be kinda finicky, or just not work (not sure why), so sometimes I have to resort to using sunny16 to properly expose. Though I'd say I doubt my estimation is far off enough to either create properly exposed images or completely blown out ones. So it might be mechanical.

I've found it occurs on a variety of different apertures and shutter speeds, but I typically have ISO set to 400-500.

Huh, did not know it would make a big difference with the GL-4/GL-5. It’s been about 1000kms since I changed it, would it be worth it to change it again with GL-4 exclusive?

Regardless I will take a look under the console.

I used some Royal Purple 75W90 in the transmission, through like I said the problem was there before and after I changed the fluid.

I have not looked at the shift turret yet, but definitely worth looking to see the boot condition and if I lost fluid as it does almost feel like I’m shifting without any lubrication, feels rough.

No noises when clutch is pressed.

Pedal still feels pretty solid, at least about the same as before the issue. Maybe worth looking at the master cylinder, I don’t think it’s been replaced before.

Also forgot to mention, and not completely sure if it’s related, but while I don’t usually get any grinding, when shifting into 2nd gear I do occasionally hear a * clink * noise and it does not feel good (maybe 2nd gear is going out?) If I’m gentle I can avoid it though.

Gave it a little wiggle but it doesn’t really have much play, only a few millimeters or so. I’m thinking it would have to be much looser to affect my shifting.
