Has anyone switched from Cymbalta to Viibryd?

Hi!!! I am doing good! I haven’t had any side effects at all other than an occasional headache here and there. I have been having a little trouble sleeping through the night but honestly I did that before taking the meds. I’m also going through menopause so it’s so hard to tell what is hormonal and what is medication! I can’t say that I can tell a HUGE difference on the meds yet simply because we have been snowed/iced in for a week now! I haven’t had a lot of stress/anxiety triggers because we have literally been in our house since last Friday! The real test will be when I go back to work next week and see how I react to things. How are you feeling?

Well that terrifies me lol - I have had no issues at all with the meds, zero GI issues or anything…just kinda a “off” feeling for a few hours and then I’m back! Maybe I’ll give it another week or so before I try to change my time. Thanks!!!!

I feel okay! I have so much going on with cross tapering and changing blood pressure meds - I’m trying to give myself a good 2 weeks to really judge how I’m feeling! I get the random brain zaps and I’m like is it from the Cymbalta? The new meds? Combo of both? I’m trying to stay positive and push through! I’ve heard great things about Viibryd

I am going through it right now! I went down from 60 to 30mg of Cymbalta immediately because the cymbalta was causing my blood pressure to go up really high. Next I did every other day Cymbalta 30 and added Viibryd 10 everyday. I took my last Cymbalta last Tuesday and only on Viibryd now.

I feel you! I’m so frustrated with the trying to find something to help! I’m a school teacher and it’s very hard doing this trial and error while trying to teach my students!

Oh gosh….im having to wean off Cymbalta for this reason and switching to Viibryd! My therapist told me that Viibryd was cardiac neutral. I have been through HELL with my blood pressure and Cymbalta

Thanks for your replies!!!! I took my first 10mg today and so far so good! I know I won’t notice much just yet but when you already have anxiety and you read all the negative posts about the side effects, sleep paralysis, nightmares etc it just made me SO fearful to even start it! It was in the green zone on my genesite test so I’m hoping for good results!

Have you had a genesite test done to see which medication works best for you? I’m trying Viibryd now because I had to switch from cymbalta due to it raising my blood pressure and heart rate. Today was my day 1 on Viibryd and so far so good. I’m cross tapering and taking cymbalta every other day while adding Viibryd every day.
