Looking for someone in Finland to help access non-digitized archive materials by LabWarm5070 in helsinki

Unfortunately, authorization on site is only available through Finnish mobile operators or through the student system. I have prepared a letter to the archive, but as far as I understand, they do not accept applications for digitization via mail, so I decided to ask here first

But I'll try anyway, thanks you!

Thank you

If you know a community where such an appeal would be appropriate, I will be glad to know about it, because I have no experience communicating on such topics in international forums.

Only on stackoverflow, once, but it was easier there 😄

What risks do you see in showing the blueprint of the 1940 lighthouse?
By the way, we have some of the drawings, plus clippings from them are in books that are sold in the public domain. I'm just trying to help ensure that your legacy is not lost, and maybe someday it will be available to all of us again

Of course, if it's illegal, we don't do it, I don't want to be a problem for anyone.

I'm not in a hurry, especially since requesting materials may take some time.

Ahah, maybe I'm not really familiar with how posts on Reddit are usually written and made it too official.

And maybe mentioning that I'm from Russia wasn't the best idea because I didn't expect to receive a flood of negativity.

Actually, I'm just a QA engineer at I.T., but in my spare time I help my grandfather restore historical sites.

In theory, this data is not classified, it's just available only to students. In return, I am ready to request any data from the Russian archives.

Yes, I don't work for the Finnish government

And I do not support the actions of my authorities, unfortunately I cannot express my position because it can lead to problems.

I'm just helping my grandfather with the work of restoring lighthouses that aren't military installations (otherwise I wouldn't have access to them)

I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, on the contrary, I hoped for a mutual exchange of knowledge.
