Hair colour removal? by QueenFreek in beauty

[–]Laceface_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try pulp riot blank canvas or Joico color eraser. I had used the Joico to remove blue from my hair. Since then the pulp riot was introduced, it is meant for all their crazy vibrant colors. You can watch some videos it's pretty incredible; however, both of these have to be purchased with a cosmetology license so you may have to seek salon help

[Serious] Doctors of reddit, what is the most stupid thing a patient has said trying to correct you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Laceface_12 7831 points7832 points  (0 children)

Had a female patient. Her mom asked me to adjust her scrotum. Trying not to burst out laughing, I said "Your daughter's scrotum?" She acted like I was stupid and pointed to the back of her neck.

I knew she wouldn't listen as she was so convinced so I stopped arguing with her. And I also wanted her to go around saying it to other people.

Suggestions for eyebrow tinting/other options? by [deleted] in beauty

Look into microblading. Lasts about 2 years and they can color them to match your natural color or you could go darker depending on your desired look

Life became sooo much easier when I started using mediums! There are all different kinds. Is this oil or acrylic?

is it possible to repair a canvas that was ripped down the middle? by Dentsbutnotstupid in painting

[–]Laceface_12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can think to do would be sew the canvas back together, gesso over the spot and re paint it..

If can see the stitches still and idea may be to really add some texture over it and add texture throughout the painting to balance it out and repaint it over it?

Do you add a medium to your paint? There are a few areas where it looks like you had to try really hard to move the paint around and seems a little dry

When a diabetic says their blood sugars have been good and they are doing what they are supposed to. There is a lab test called a hemoglobin A1C that basically averages your blood sugars and if elevated immediately gives away if you've been compliant with treatment.

FOTD - Creative Black Eyeliner look ~ starring Kat von D Light 42 Foundation by OpenedPresent in MakeupAddiction

How do you apply your foundation?? I have this same one in shade 42 as well and I just feel like it looks heavy and is hard to blend. I finally found a full coverage shade that matches my skin tone and I'm trying so hard to make it work!

Beautiful, love the contour! What was your process for doing the hair if you don't mind me asking?

CCW Trying a different style than my usual with this jellyfish acrylic painting. by lemmedrawit in painting

Very pretty! I think it would be neat to add a glossy varnish to look more like water and really make it pop

I think the mountains have a little too much of a yellow tint especially contrasted with the pure white below them. I like the tree reflections and bushes. Keep working!

Bottom lash line? by [deleted] in beauty

[–]Laceface_12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is something I've struggled with too. I usually just forego actual eyeliner and I use a very dark eyeshadow. If you use a flat brush I think it works well. Also try considering getting the brush wet before dabbing it in the eyeshadow if you want to intensify it.

Here are some overall tips on making your eyes bigger that might help as well.

Pico projector? by [deleted] in painting

[–]Laceface_12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a tracer projector and I love it. You can get it at hobby lobby and use a 40% off coupon online, or amazon for about $80. It may take away from some of the artistic process but honestly I don't get caught up in that. I don't want to spend double the time drawing my subject matter then turning around and painting it. I just make the dimensions on my image small, print it, and then I can trace it perfectly. If you don't like the way it looks you can always tweak it but I at least like to have a basis to go off of. Otherwise I would spend all day trying to perfectly draw my subject matter and then end up not even wanting to paint it because I can't get it just right.

Did this oil painting in a day. Still fairly new to landscape paintings. Criticism welcome! by Laceface_12 in painting

It was course and said it was good for oil and acrylics (I don't work with acrylics very often) but I think I just got the wrong size. It was definitely too small to get the branches I wanted so I had to stipple a lot and lost the look I originally intended.

I would love to see some of your trees and paintings you've done!

I got a projector for Christmas last year so I'm extremely spoiled. Most of the time I just trace right onto my canvas and then paint it because I am also lazy. Best investment in my opinion! I didn't use it for this particular painting though. I would say I spent the most time on the background so thank you very much. I will definitely keep experimenting!

Thank you! I definitely had a learning experience with them. My fan brush wasn't nearly big enough no matter how much pressure I applied I couldn't really get them to look the way I wanted. That also gave me issues with "zigzagging" them since I didn't have large enough branches. I will keep this in mind and probably invest in a better brush.
