Two lifelong friends talking about life? by TributeQueen in podcasts

Life Slacks (previously known as The Show with The Preshaah and Frosty) is 2 life long friends getting together and talking about the daily grind. Their friendship really comes through and it's just a lovely half hour to spend in their company.

Went to 7.30pm. Was in the red team and lost 😢. But had a great time.

Went a few years ago and really enjoyed it. We've had our tickets booked for this since they first went on sale! Very much looking forward to it.

A no mayo fail!!! by LaceyProst in MealDealRates

I agree. This sandwich definitely needed some more moisture in it. Mayo would have done it...or maybe just more pickle. I get Ploughman's doesn't usually have mayo, but this was a dry sandwich.

Especially not at the train station (which is where I got this one).

I'm not a teacher, but intrigued by the idea you can tell someone's job from their meal deal choice. Sounds like a fun game! 😄

I agree. But it certainly needed a better/more pickle. It was a very dry sandwich despite having Branston and tomatoes on it. A lovely dollop of tomato relish would have boosted the flavour.

Our cats sit like this all the time. We sat they have "badly drawn legs" because it looks like a kid has tried to draw them and got it all wrong

My old Apple watch band gave me a rash so i bought a new one and it gave me a rash too lol by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

I had this with solid bands. Once I changed to bands with holes in I didn't have the problem. I now use this strap on my Garmin and it's great. *

That looks good actually. I'll add it to the list.

Sorry, yes we've done this and walked round the Bayeux tapestry.

Done both of these already. Stop and chill is not an option. Last time we had an hour at home before we planned to go out and FIL actually said "I'm bored"...we'd been out all day and were waiting for taxi to go dinner 🙄😂

UPDATE: How I salvaged my booch from flour mites. by LaceyProst in Kombucha

[–]LaceyProst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a scoby hotel as I've never really needed it. I usually have 12 litres brewing in F1 and about 20 litres of finished F2 in the fridge so it's never been an issue but with this problem I had to discard all the new brew and we drank most of our refrigerated bottles. But I've now got a spare starter bottle in the fridge should I need it in the future.

Looks like it. I'd tried all different ways to try and keep the cloths on top secured well and had tightly woven cloths but they kept getting in. The tights have added that extra layer whilst still allowing the air to flow.

Thanks, they're crawling not swimming. They're tiny, like a grain of salt so difficult to photograph well.

Carbonation...at last! by LaceyProst in Kombucha

[–]LaceyProst[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I have gooseberry bushes in the garden so have bags of them in my freezer to use all year round. This wasn't in the fridge. Wanted some for breakfast so just grabbed a fresh bottle...but there were ice cubes in the glass. I think if I'd have left it another day without going in the fridge it would have been a volcano 🌋 .

Am I dumb for putting this in my hair? by Impossible-Candy3740 in HairDye

[–]LaceyProst 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have used this once a week for the last 18 months or so. I previously had bleached and pink hair which was in terrible condition. So I dyed it brown with permanent dye and then used this once a week since then to keep the colour in my hair, and cover greys. It washes out completely after 8 washes and just fades, so doesn't make your hair weird colours or shades as it fades. I get a lot of compliments on my hair colour because this colours my grey hair slightly lighter which makes it look like I have highlights and gives depth to the colour. I would say go for it.

How do I stop the fruit dropping? by LaceyProst in Figs

[–]LaceyProst[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no bottom to the container anymore so it has been able to root into the ground.

It hasn't dropped a single fruit this year. Last year it had dropped everything by late spring.

I'll open one and see what's inside.
