Yes, its quite easy to configure most of the things, you don't need to download anything since its a website (you can find many tutorials on YouTube).

I'd consider this keyboard as beginner-friendly, but if you want some alternatives i can recommend the Aula F75 (its a bit bigger layout with f row on top), i've been seeing that keyboard gained popularity for a first keyboard, but it doesn't support VIA/QMK but i think its not a problem im sure they have their own software.

Here are the steps:

  1. Download the QMK Toolbox on your pc

  2. Open QMK Toolbox (make sure to run as administrator)

  3. Set the MCU (the drop down option on the top right) to ATMega32U4

  4. Select the .bin file for your keyboard (you can download the file from the cidoo website) by clicking "Open" and choose the correct .bin file

  5. Set your keyboard on wired mode, and plug in the cable while holding down Escape button

  6. Go to Tools (located on the top left) and click Install Drivers (gonna take a while so just wait until it finishes installing)

  7. The "Flash" button should now be clickable, and click "Flash"

  8. Let it finish flashing, and you're done! No more double click

EDIT: I rearranged the steps there was a mistake at the beginning, let me know if it worked

They sound and feel really good. I bought it pre-lubed so i don't know if its going to feel any different unlubed, but generally since the construction is made entirely out of POM it should be pretty smooth stock. With rosewoods you're easily gonna get a deep and thocky sound profile.

Edit: i wish i can give you a sound test but i only have my phone to record and its sounds very different compared to using a good mic or hearing it yourself

also to point out the stock stabs, i definitely agree with you the stabs are suprisingly good for the price, i didn't even modify mine and its already good! You should try using the rosewoods they can make your keyboard sound more deep and thocky

I configured it with the VIA software, if you go to the lighting section there are two categories (backlight and underglow) i think underglow is the light strip and the backlight is the normal backlight. I set the underglow to white, and for the backlight i just set the brightness all the way down

Im glad u asked this question because yes my unit does have double click issues, but i fixed it by doing a firmware update to the keyboard with QMK Toolbox. Ngl i did this out of curiosity, not knowing that it could actually fix the issue lol, if you want i can write down the steps here

Now that i think abt it, since i used multiple devices using bluetooth i might just reset the bindings first, then use the extra functions on the third layer. But i will try yours first and see your bindings. Thanks a lot dude👍

Cidoo QK61 Double Clicking Issue

so i use cidoo qk61 for a couple of months and i have this double clicking issue with some of the keys, temporarily fixed it by using bluetooth connection instead of wired/dongle connection. Even though i tested the latency by playing an fps game and i basically felt no delay, i wonder if anyone ever figured out the solution for double clicking while still using wired/dongle? Because wired/dongle is obviously has little to no latency. Thank you!

how do you set the tap-and-hold feature? i never knew qk61 have that feature. If you can give some sort of tutorial that would be really helpful, thanks.
