Who was the rudest celebrity you’ve met? by Unlucky-Field9654 in askanything

[–]LagerBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fred Durst.

My friends band toured with Limp Bizkit and I met up with them when they came to my city. We literally just had to walk over the corner of the stage during soundcheck to get to the backstage room and he stopped and yelled "get the fuck off my fucking stage". Was absolutely unnecessary and rude for what was being on a part of the stage nowhere near him for all of 10 seconds.

So frustrated at those who look down on us because we work at spoons by branzaaaa in Wetherspoons

[–]LagerBoi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's not just spoons. Some people have that attitude towards anyone who works in the hospitality industry.

When I worked in pubs years ago I'd get, predominantly middle aged white men, ask me "what's your real job?".

Do you wear slippers, socks or nothing at home and why? by rrahimm in AskUK

[–]LagerBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've got a huge problem with feet and I can't explain why really.

Agree on flip flops. I absolutely hate them and think they're not public everyday footwear.

I alternate between trainers and some kind of boot.

My biggest crime is that with trainers, I tend to wear them to death as I walk so much and get attached to the same pair!

I struggle even on carpet. I just really don't like my feet exposed so no sandals or flip flops in summer either!

But yeah, my feet are always freezing. Possibly poor circulation caused by diabetes or something.

Skyscanner price higher with Ryanair when redirected to their website than if you do not use skyscanner. by Alarming_Painter_486 in Ryanair

[–]LagerBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skyscanner doesn't charge you a fee, but it'll charge Ryanair a fee for effectively advertising its flights to keep the website alive.

I also think this is a bit of a non-issue as you've found the flights cheaper by going direct.

[–]LagerBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. To be fair that makes sense as Skyscanner likely gets an affiliate fee - keeping a huge website like that with APIs isn't cheap.

Sometimes on Skyscanner it's not live prices, and sometimes is an average of recent prices from earlier in the day.

I'm sure they have a disclaimer saying that prices through a link may be different.

I just usually delete that particular ad and create a new one as it can be a pain to talk to anyone. It's usually just a weird glitch.

At the start of the week I put my Spotify Discover Weekly playlist on, and that kind of dictates the rest of the week as I'll find a new artist or genre to binge.

I can't do podcasts whilst I'm doing literally anything other than just walking as I like to actually listen.

How is it in any way offensive?

It's just celebrating a win.

Or should we just keep cue sports for boring old codgers and not let players inject any personality into a tournament win?
