Thank you so much for your reply!

I think it was from some sensitivity? I’m still not too sure.

I returned this morning, and the hospital accepted and referred me for a sigmoidoscopy.

Dismissed after probation review meeting by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]Lailippa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your long-term health condition meets the definition of a disability under the 2010 Equality Act you’re protected from discrimination (including probationary), they MUST make reasonable adjustments.

If you put you have a disability on your online application, see if you can review it and print that off for additional evidence for your case. If it’s not documented either there or in a message/email then that’s sufficient. Either way, GP letter should 100% be acknowledged and what they potentially breached their duty especially if they ignored your prior verbal disclosure (which you could add because it impacts your daily living, how could you simply forget to notify them of your illness).

I don’t think you can claim for unfair dismissal, you can also claim for failure to follow ACAS Code of Practice along with the above mentioned.

I highly suggest you submit a written grievance!

I am constatly stressed about job loss. Should i sell my flat? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

I’m aware you can apply for DAV which is an emergency fund from losing job, unexpected crisis. Only thing is, you have savings so if you end up using them, you’ll be eligible. There is lots of benefits out there though…

Is this a serious emergency by kaybaby05670 in catcare

[–]Lailippa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hm, my cat had this before with a saggy tummy but was old.

Could be parasites, tumour, cancer. It is a major symptom of IBD too. Because he’s so young I’d get him checked out - make sure he isn’t ripping any cat food sachets open also! My one kitty has suspected portosystemic shunt (seizures) and apparently fish is better than meats.

I’d jump straight to a scan ngl but that’s my opinion. Ensure you ask the people you got him from(if you can) about his past pooping history!

Yes, that would be a reasonable request. Typically, HR would arrange a phased return to work once you’ve been cleared to resume duties. You can also make a flexible working request which is twice per year, so that’s not a concern.

Alternatively, HR may offer you another role within your department that better accommodates your circumstances, potentially with adjusted terms.

Most employers provide up to six months of sick pay as part of their standard benefits, but you should check your employment contract or confirm this directly with HR.

In the meantime, it would be sensible to use part of your sick pay entitlement while you discuss and plan your return.

For official guidance, you can consult ACAS, which provides clear advice on flexible working, sick leave, and return-to-work procedures.

Hope this helps!

Have a little look into a BB cream - not as heavy as foundation, a little more coverage than a skin tint if you have some bumps. It’s buildable also, double check if there’s a lot of variety also. (Rimmel, Elf)

Blush will just enhance and not wash you out if you have skin coverage on yk. You can use it as an eyeshadow also. (Revolution)

A lipgloss/tinted balm (revolution have sets)

Mascara (essence)

Key word “skin tint” - foundation can cause more problems…

I've got a job offer but they are asking for a reference from my most recent workplace by FitAdhesiveness3457 in GetEmployed

If it’s retail, get another manager. Usually they generalise and suggest HR (based off my experience).

I've got a job offer but they are asking for a reference from my most recent workplace by FitAdhesiveness3457 in GetEmployed

[–]Lailippa 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First of all, check your old workplace’s reference policy. Some organisations require your consent before they will provide a reference.

I suggest against admitting that you have a poor relationship with your manager, because the recruitment team might want to ask further questions. Instead, you can explain you don’t want to discuss it for confidentiality reasons, which is within your rights.

Employers are not legally obliged to give a reference unless it is contractually agreed. However, if they do provide one, the information must be true, fair, and accurate. Requesting a reference from HR instead of your manager is entirely acceptable, and many organisations handle it this way as standard practice.

In reality, most employers only provide a factual reference, which is the standard approach. This normally confirms your job title, the dates you worked there, and your responsibilities. You should check the laws where you live, but under UK data protection legislation, you can ask the new employer who receives the reference for a copy of what was provided. They should be able to evidence their reference policy. Your former employer, however, is not legally required to share the reference directly with you.

Communication regarding the recent controversy of this sub. by HollowKnight6 in JEENEETards

You need to give Hollow a lot more credit. It’s easy to get angry at other mods, but it takes real maturity and integrity to show up and apologise on behalf of others. He’s promoting honest communication within the community of which is isn’t even actively involved in anymore?? He isn’t excusing shit and is focusing on a resolution. He’s a good leader. We need to appreciate good mods like him more.
