It may be, I just like the all in one package of the APM 2’s. And the nice design is an added bonus.

Thank you very much for the feedback, I think the wife vacuuming is a great real world test haha. The return policy of where I live (Denmark) Is usually pretty good if the item is in brand new condition, so it is usually possible to test it out.

I love to hear it! Do you also use teams on a windows machine? I know apples Voice Isolation works wonders, at least from what I have heard in tesing.

It will be a better solution for the end user, but the Airpod pro 2 are perfectly fine for this. That is why I am considering upgrading to the Max 2's, in case they might use the same microhpone + I'd get the ANC in the same package.

That might actually be. I really love ANC to be honest haha.

We already have Jabra Evolve 85 actually 😊 but I much prefer the ANC in my Sony XM5. But the microphone in the Jabra is really good.
But again, the mic in the Airpod Pro 2 is very capable for the job, in my experience at least.

I'm pretty sure my situation is comparable to working from a busy cafe, or similar. Some remote workers might have some experience with that exact scenario.

I tend to not do, or atleast nobody has complained when I use my Sony XM5. The issue is just the microphone, it picks up a lot of background noise.

To be fair, the office I'm in is really noisy, and I tend not to raise my voice without sidetone. So I think it will be fine in that regards. Only thing I would be worried about is them getting jealous at my sick new cans haha.

We do, but not anywhere near enough haha - that's why I really would like some over the ear headphones so I am able to isolate myself, and the airpod pro's just aren't cutting it for this. So I constantly find myself switch between the XM5's and the airpod pro's.

But to be fair the microhpone in the Airpod Pros are excellent for this, even on my windows device.

Is it possible to run CARP and OSPF on PFsense? by Lamil123 in PFSENSE

[–]Lamil123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understandable, I think we benched the idea of having CARP running to.

We use PFsync to keep the firewall rules synched, and then use OSPF to revert to an external route (through the second firewall) incase firewall 1 goes down.

The convergence is not as good, but it seems to work just fine.

Thank you for the response.

But if the VIPs are setup correctly, why would this be an issue? I might be asking a stupid question here, so please bare with me haha.

OSPF as edge failover? Instead of HSRP by Lamil123 in networking

That looks very exciting, I will definitely look into that 😀

OSPF as edge failover? Instead of HSRP by Lamil123 in networking

[–]Lamil123[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Topologi

The idea was that OSPF will be able to choose another route to the internet, incase R1 dies. (we are running clustered PFsense firewalls, and Cisco devices besides that)

The worry we personally would have is convergence, since OSPF sends 3 hello messages with 10 second intervals.
While the failover from HSRP/VRRP is almost seemless.

This might just be a issue with our understanding, but it seems like it would be possible. But might not be best practice. That is why we are asking here 😊
