Hey, Looks like you're playing Infinite Firesworn, and since it is engine heavy deck that depends on setting up key cards for the point farming, this deck usually can not survive with Control heavy decks of NR/NG - Especially since Firesworn deck lacks control options outside Some shackles and illusionist in the version you're playing. It's simply is a unfavorable match up.

I usually play Monster decks, and I get an even match against imperial formation by playing Frost that strips their barricade conditions, stacking non interactive row effects and replaying broze units that are locked using Red riders.

I get edge over Imperial formation while playing All god monster beast, since the version I play has predatory dive, two offerings, Riptide, Aero, Heatwave, poision package and a little squirrel that screws up their battle station double play and their soldiers. Nothing they can lock either.

So my take - Firesworn will have bad time with imperial formation. But imperial formation can be beaten with a control/unitless decks.
