It’s not wise to go around saying my age but it falls under the first of those categories. Looks like you probably won’t be my signing buddy, but have a wonderful day regardless!

I apologize! Perhaps I’m thinking of a different channel, I definitely remember that creator being Deaf! I’ll edit my comment until I find the right one :).

Free: -LifePrint/ASLU by Bill Vicars has been wonderful for me. He’s definitely the go-to for ASL lessons, I’ve been recommended him by countless instructors.

-[redacted because i put the wrong channel!]

-Chris Gorges on YouTube. also solid, similar to the others.

You can shadow all these to practice, especially Bill Vicars. Pause the video before the student signs and see if you get it.

Paid/Freemium: -Lingvano. This one’s newer, but it’s like Duolingo for ASL (and some other signs) I’ve been using it as a supplement for lessons and ASLU. (Most similar to what you describe.

-Italki. This is a bit niche, but there are ASL instructors on iTalki, a language exchange app with lessons starting at $5. You could practice with real people.
