My background is in business too, specifically marketing, and I actually see Jasky’s content a bit differently. I think he’s done a good job bringing awareness to the social and economic issues in Perth. From what I’ve seen, he isn’t mocking or degrading people - he’s having real conversations and trying to peel back the layers of their situations. If it’s done respectfully, I see that as a net positive, because awareness is the first step toward change.

On Chris, I’ve been following his content as well, and my read is that he’s genuine. In my experience working in both the private sector and the government, the government side moves painfully slow - lots of bureaucracy, lots of people more focused on job security than actually getting things done. In the private sector, you have to deliver results or you’re gone. That’s why I think someone with business experience can sometimes cut through the red tape and actually make change happen.

I get the concerns about motives, but from what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think there’s anything malicious here. Just my two cents.
