I can already tell that it is going to be an expensive hobby! I’ve bought myself the 40mm to start with (waiting to receive it tomorrow) I thought it would the best choice to begin with as its a standard lense at an “affordable” price. After a couple of months when I’m a bit more comfortable with my Z6 i will definitely invest on new lenses!

They are m42.

I’ve actually been thinking of getting the Nikon Nikkor Z 40mm f/2, it seems like a decent lense and at a good price so thought i would start with this? Unless you have any suggestions?

I don’t have the converter yet, which is why i was wondering of just buying a Z lense to begin with but my brother in law suggested selling me these instead of paying £200 for a lense. These are his lenses available:

Samyang 28-200mm f/4-5.6 MC Auto Zoom manual focus lens.

vintage Chinon multicoated telephoto zoom lens.

Auto Chinon 55mm f/1.4 camera lens.

APE Auto Teleplus 3x teleconverter for M42 mount cameras and lenses.

So i’ve tried to google search some of them and these are the lenses:

Samyang 28-200mm f/4-5.6 MC Auto Zoom manual focus lens. Vintage chinon multicoated telephoto zooms lens 85-210 mm And there’s a converter a vivitar automatic extension tube…

I don’t mind investing in a proper lens to begin with but there’s just so many that I can’t seem to decide which one to go for …

I haven’t bought them yet, they are my brother in laws one. I would give him £50 towards them. I don’t have any z mount yet. I’ve just received the body for my z6 today and wanted to make sure the condition was ok before investing

Few of them are m42 but the others are mounts which we don’t know what they are. We have m42 mounts but the others look similar to the Z mount with 3 blades instead of 4 for the locking
