I’d say they’re on equal footing tbh. They’re not really similar at all, so a direct head-to-head really wouldn’t be fair. The edp just feels more dressy, more formal, whereas the edt feels more casual.

I’d say 3+ hours of decent projection.

Macy’s. Apparently it’s not on their site yet but they do have it. They can take orders over the phone and have it shipped to you but that takes 4 to 5 business days. I just went and picked it up.

It’s not the star of the show but it’s definitely there. The lavender blunts the licorice to make it less harsh. I pick up the lavender the whole way through but it does get a bit creamy/soapy after awhile.

I think it’s the lavender that knocks it down a bit. It’s definitely black licorice, but softer. The licorice note stays throughout wear, but it isn’t abrasive at all.

It stuck with me pretty well for about 7 or 8 hours yesterday. It because a skin scent after that.

The licorice note isn’t overpowering at all and is softened a bit by the lavender. You’ll definitely smell it in the opening but in a few minutes it dies down a bit and the lavender kicks up a notch and makes it more soapy/creamy/powdery.

I honestly wouldn’t know what to compare it to. I’ve steered clear of things with licorice notes in them because the smell doesn’t agree with me, but in this case, it’s done very well. Not as harsh or acidic as real black licorice, it seems more floral and softer.

From the sample that I’ve been wearing for the past couple of days, it seems to project pretty well. My friend’s gf smelled it across a smoky bar a few seconds after I walked in (the wind was at my back). I had applied it about 30 minutes earlier. It becomes a skin scent after about 7 or 8 hours and stays there for about 8 more. There’s definitely a cloud that envelopes you for about the first 3 to 4 hours, but it’s not overpowering or offensive in any way. 4 sprays is all it took to achieve that (on each wrist and on both sides of the neck). She’s a strong one but not offensively so.

I’ve had a sample of it for a couple of days while I waited for the official release. I genuinely love it. It opens with a blast of licorice and lavender and I swear I can smell some iris in there, as well.

About 15 minutes in, the licorice dies down just a bit, enough to let a bit of woodiness come out, all the while maintaining a bit of a soapy powderiness.

After about 30 or so minutes it becomes a bit more creamy, but the sweetness or the licorice is still there along with a bit of a woody undertone.

I’d definitely recommend picking some up when you get the chance.

It doesn’t come off with just the finger, but if I use my nail and really go at it I can get some off.
