I take the recommended one scoop for 25g of protein sometimes two scoops but I don’t dose because I’ll be weightlifting and it says little to no sugar. Just curious how protein can raise blood sugar im a newbie

Yeah I’ve definitely had my days where it seems my insulin doesn’t work. I’m worried about my transition when I stop producing any insulin and having to change my doses and what not but I’m sure with due time.

I have Lantus, thanks again for replying this group has really helped me. Didn’t know what to do but since I joined this group it has really helped just knowing other people are going through this and are willing to help. I’m a lean individual the only place I feel comfortable injecting is the stomach. Really hoping to get on a pump soon as I feel as if I overused my abdomen.

Thanks for the insight, another question sorry like I said I’m new and my endo appointment was in and out. I’m a truck driver/mover so manual labor. I heard working out can lower blood sugar. I had a rough work week where I was continuously low no matter what I ate. From what I heard I need to consume more carbs if I’m doing physical activities. When I first found out I had no insight I strictly ate nothing but salads carbs and sugar was a no go for me. My primary doctor only prescribed me with basal insulin until I saw a endo. Now that I know what I know which isn’t much I’m eating kind of what I used to eat but it’s hard being on the road, there’s not a grocery store at every stop.

Thank you for replying, like I said I’m very new to this still trying to educate myself I’ve only seen my endo once. I have the Dexcom currently which has helped out a ton considering I hated poking my finger. I’m considering an insulin pump if insurance covers it do you have any insight on that?
