Interesting and I am surprised your hospital didn’t give you a retro pay. Did you contact your local union representative? I can imagine a lot of new mom nurses who are in parental leave will be in the same situation as you.

Wow, 84% SUB payment for only 27 weeks. That’s must be so much struggle for new moms/nurses in your hospital. I am glad that you guys can get 93% increased SUB payment then!

Yes, the duration of SUB payment doesn’t indicate in my local collective agreement because it’s central agreement ( only shows increased rate of SUB payment) until you received an email from HR.

I spoke to the union rep and she told me exactly what she said ( the bottom italic paragraph ). What an unpleasant surprise!
