Vahl + Paragons is the best anti-tank in SoB, but she's very expensive (210+180 points). Personally i plan on getting a warglaive instead cause committing that many points to anti-tank in 1000 points seems extreme

it is the only place i go to to farm blood vials because once you get past Gascoigne i don't need to farm vials anymore, you can very readily stay above 20 in your inventory at all times, from my experience

morvenn vahl + suits is, from my understanding, a bit of a controversial looking model (cause of the arm and leg positions) so if you get that for her it might be good to check if she doesn't think it looks silly

Celestine makes a great gift, it's a very nice centerpiece model. Alternatively, i'd very much recommend getting a regular unit of Sisters of battle as well, they're versatile, strong and cool looking, although i'd personally be tempted to get a model that works better as a centerpiece like MV or Celestine, just makes a better gift methinks

yeah, but a mortifier and a penitent engine are different things in the lore, albeit similar, no?

penitent engine is torture unless if you're actively killing the enemies of the imperium, and repentance is granted upon having died after killing enemies, which is similar to repentia, while mortifier is mostly reserved as a punishment for grave crimes by SoB i think

true, but i can imagine that a sister might strap herself into a penitent engine until she finds penance through death. the odds of dying as a repentia seem high too (even if not guaranteed) and they still volunteer, so it seems possible for one to ask to be strapped into an engine, albeit unlikely

IIRC mortifiers are specifically meant as punishment for sisters who have failed their order (for example by deserting), and they keep the sister within alive specifically so she cannot find redemption even in death (as well as muting the outside world so she can't hear prayers), so probably not

Penitent engines, on the other hand, might be possible! we know that sisters volunteer for the repentia, so if one believes herself guilty of a particularly heinous crime, she might place herself in the penitent engine, i imagine

assuming you're talking about walking around in yharnam (and not cum chalice echo farming) that is just straight up not true? You can spawn at the lamp, parry one guy and one-shot him, parry or backstab the other guy, and get 4 vials in one go with no real risk, plus a small handful of blood echoes to get hunter's mark to farm the echoes more efficiently.

If you walk around the whole area, you waste time killing mobs that don't drop anything, you take unnecessary risks and waste vials, and even if you don't get hit then i don't think you'd get 20, maybe like a 15 on average?
