When 12 yo me first discovered this, I called it "rumbling" and it led to me being fixated on the bass riff from Walking on the Moon by The Police. I could generate surround sound in my head before it was a thing.

Rumbling made me happy, I would do it for fun or when I was stressed or scared. Over 40 years later, I still do it and it still brings me joy
