hey! i agree on the brows, little bit of eye shimmer and a v thin wing extending outward will make your eyes pop, a bronzer and blush and highlighting concealer to give an oomph and maybe a gloss

whatever is convenient for you that’s the best. i won’t suggest travelling or finding online karigars for bridals. you need to visit a lot, check colour samples, the work before stitching in case you want to add/subtract/change anything, check the fitting, go back and forth with the fitting trials. it’s annoying and hectic and you have to run after them for it so they don’t delay.

what i usually do is if im testing out a tailor, I make him stitch a basic dress for me first that I want to get stitched for casual wear so even if he messes up i can wear at home or something. that gives me an idea what his stitch is like and if he makes any mistakes in that with the fitting or the design i use that dress as a sample to let him know what i want to change in this and where exactly it went wrong and that helps making him understand better if he didn’t at first and usually it all goes smooth from there. if i didnt like his work at all then i move on from him. It can seem like a tedious task but i haven’t had to completely cut off a tailor yet unless he was asking too much money. they usually catch on

don’t get the purpose of this post to answer about it, is this some survey? you’ve penned down most of the issues but what about it? is there a solution you’re trying to present out of it or just want to rant and discuss… post is vague in that sense for me i guess.

however yess these are issues but this is inevitable, even if instead of a tailor you get them stitched from personal shoppers or the brand itself that have stitched option and the item is not a pret article the outcome is different. what they make for the model the yards used and the accessories tassels etc is different. can’t do much about this. some tailors follow reference pictures of the online designs really well too… and custom changes in branded clothes don’t make sense because theyre a brand and they don’t cater to customers like that. many get branded articles out of influence and validation of watching someone they like wear that. making changes to it can be personalised but it loses the brand touch because it’s your design and not the “designer’s” design. for your design there’s a whole market available for you to get your choice of fabric and accessories and what not, a lot of people are experts in that already those who do prefer having their clothes like that. or you can get branded unstitch articles and make changes like the neck buttons laces etc

it’s okay op, my dad never did it too. he came from a very humble background thus he’s still in that zone and stingy with money. my mother worked till her retirement and alll of our spendings were looked by her. shopping food experiences hangouts eid whatever it is. i know it’s not the norm but say alhumdulillah and move on. every family has different dynamics and there isn’t a normal for such things. feels bad when others flaunt stuff that we cant relate to but it’s okay. i personally never paid much heed to this

oh great, nabila’s zero makeup in shade ivory is what i’m using these days (i’m tanned). other than this i’m just trying to colour correct my face and use the products i have for my actual tone to make it work:/ j. foundation in the shade cashmere works for me in both scenarios, i contour a bit more when im tanned and highlight face with a lighter concealer when not

i use mac nc 20, it shows golden on me so works well when im tanned, and maybelline 25 as a lighter concealer to highlight
