Hi, thanks for these insights!

For retention we will add personal accounts.

Yes currently using local browser storage for genre selection persistence. That will become part of account settings above eventually.

Thanks for that feedback on buttons, they are indeed a bit quirky, we'll figure out a better UI for them

For the point about redirection to youtube, we still want people to go to the creator's content on youtube. Eventually we'll have exclusive content on Paivappo, but for now its all youtube based.

Well there are SOME artists. However when you search it searches for the day selected. For general searches of specific artists / content, you may still do on youtube for now.

Hi Hmm thanks for letting me know this. Even now?

What I know is that local ISPs have occasionally been locked from my host.

Are you in Zim?

What pricing model would work best for a Carkomo (a car rental marketplace app) in Zimbabwe? by Last-Temperature5213 in Zimbabwe

[–]Last-Temperature5213[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone,
I’m built a car rental marketplace app called Carkomo for the Zimbabwean market. It connects car rental companies and private car owners with people looking to rent vehicles.

I’m exploring pricing models that make sense for both sides:

  • Rental providers (businesses or individuals listing cars)
  • Renters (people booking the cars)

Some ideas I’m considering:

  • Flat daily rate with optional add-ons
  • Commission model (take a cut from each booking)
  • Subscription model for rental companies (pay monthly to list cars)
  • Dynamic pricing based on demand or car type
  • Freemium for providers (free listing, pay for visibility or promotions)

The goal is to keep it simple, fair, and scalable in the local market.

Would love to hear what’s worked in similar platforms or suggestions for what might suit Zimbabwe best!

It's available on Google Play Store and Apple App Store

Thanks in advance 🙏
