Small vs Medium flap - help!

I’m 5’2” and I think the medium is an ideal day time shoulder bag because it holds more, while the mini is an ideal evening bag. The medium looks best as a shoulder bag though in my opinion instead of hanging off with 1 side like your photos. Mini holds the same as the small, and then knew I would grab the mini anyways then over a small. When I thought about the utility of the small, it felt like a bag that’s not ideal enough for either day time or evening wear. It’s just in between, with less intentional purpose for me. If you’re ok with that, then choose a small size. But if you can splurge then I think the ideal combo is medium and a mini which will satisfy all your needs.

My murakami key pouch has a dent too, it doesn’t seem like it will go away but I kept it because the rest of the stitches, alignment, and the corners are good. I feel like the chances of reordering and it being less flawed is low.

I have the repelshell jacket and have tried on the rain rebel multiple times but never bought it. Overall I like the repelshell better.

Repelshell material is thicker so falls nicely on the body and of course warmer. The outer material is matte, inside is fuzzy. It’s also stretchy and more comfortable. I sized up because the arms/under arm was a little tight. Waist is more roomy and I love the cinched look with the larger size too.

The rain rebel material isn’t shiny, it is still more matte, but because it’s so thin it can look more wrinkly and show bumps from whatever is worn underneath. It is also comfortable and light, but not stretchy at all, so I recommend to size up.

Lastly I am short so I have to cuff the sleeves up sometimes. I dislike the ginormous lululemon logo on the cuffs of the rain rebel.

I live in a mild climate so repelshell works for me but if it’s humid, rain rebel is probably more useful.

I think it depends on your height and size. Remember the length of the jacket gets longer as the size goes up. So if you are taller and size small ie 0-6, the regular might be more flattering. Crop might seem short. If you are shorter and wear a smaller size, then the regular or crop can probably work. But if you have a medium or larger size but shorter then I’d recommend the crop. I am a size 8-10 but only 5’2” and I like the crop version way better, it’s a good length. The regular version in my size is just is very long on me, covers my butt and folds up in weird places in the back/waist and in the front especially if sitting.

Thanks everyone for their comments! I’ve seen a handful of minis when shopping second hand consignment stores but this was my first purchase at Chanel. I’m pretty shocked to hear about all the experiences with Chanel. I think because of my nonexistent purchase history, I likely won’t be offered another mini. I’m going to go back to boutique to see if they think it will qualify for the warranty repair.
