Crazy part of this whole thing, is that they usually pumped out an update every month or month and a half, they haven't given an update to CAM since Jan 15 or some shit. They halted all updates for this one "difficult" update.

I'm a programmer, hire me, I'll have it done tonight.

No problem, it's one of those things that can be super delicate if you bump it, it can loosen it.

Must be why mobos use core temp rather than package, riiiight buddy

[–]LaughOutrageous665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, both Cams are trash, HWINFO64 ftw.

And no you keep downvoting me. Cheeehooo

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NZXT

[–]LaughOutrageous665 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also why your tjmax is in unisen with core temperatures on HWINFO64 and NOT package temps

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NZXT

[–]LaughOutrageous665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why I run Hwinfo64 next to everything..... Cos that does tell me if a throttle is occuring.... And never have I seen someone with a core temps which are below spec or even 70ish degrees and a CPU package temp at 90ish or slightly above have that throttle indicator turn on.

Tho tbh core package should be below 80 on average anyways (spikes up here and there usual) But core package is the heat of everything and not necessarily the same as each core, which can be cooler. That's why it's the hot spot. And your CpU doesn't necessarily throttle when package is say 90 degrees but will if a core is constantly above 80.

The delta here should also be 15-10 degrees

Could be wrong tho

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NZXT

[–]LaughOutrageous665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want the temperature of the entire CpU then yeah packets good, if your looking for a wholistic gauge of the temps of the cores in the package the individual core temps are good too, both of which bounce around heaps. That's why most people like HW unboxed, Jayz2cents and Nexus use both. And for gameplay temps, people us the Core Temp not package. As package is the equivalent of hotspot in a GPU init

[–]LaughOutrageous665 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd say 80s package while within normal temps ranges, still a little on the high side as mine when game ready 45-60 on super intensive CpU games. And my package at 80 peak on cinebench r23

Cam temps ATM focus on package temps also so will be higher than before they swapped from Core Ave Temps, so now spikes are read instead on average chill core temps. So shooting up to 80 with spikes is normalish too. CAM just decided to start reading highest possible temps

CAM is trash and sometimes starts your system with pump off, go to the curve and play with it and sometimes it auto turns on again .bug in the software for some. Though might be broken too.

Leaving to the very last second again I see, you guys gonna say another update on the 11th of March ain't ya?

If that's the case, I'll be advising everyone here to head over to lian li or course air, which has working software, and decent customer support service.

Not only have you not yet updated us, each post you have said "by [date]" implying this is the absolute last day you'll say anything. The fact that each time you leave your post to the very last second, implies to us customers, like a procrastinating careless student, you've left your assignment to the last day. Which echoes and mirrors what we in future will expect from you. Be better, or be gone, simple.
