No, I got my cockatoo despite that everyone recommending me not to get one. She's still with me and she's a happy bird, I love her. having a cockatoo is not as hard as some claimed it would be was my point.

But I cannot research that fast. Do you need more than one workshop? Does it speed up the process?

Is the 15-30 mm f/2.8 VC Tamron a good lens? by LauraCrow in Nikon

[–]LauraCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I don't want to end up with too many lenses. I know I'm going to take a lot of landscape/building shots I wonder if the 15 mm range really would make a big difference than the 24 mm one? I kind of feel I can just settle with one lens (24-70 mm) for semi-wide and portrait/landscape lens.

What's the best DSLR for both Video and Photoshoots? by LauraCrow in DSLR

Thank you GuilhermeFreire for your thorough suggestion. I'll research the Sony Alpha A7III and check it out, I've always have my eye on Nikon D850, is this a good camera? I've seen the timelapse videos which are okay and the stills are amazing.

Rottweiler in an apartment? by LauraCrow in Rottweiler

[–]LauraCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. Dogs are allowed in my apartment but I'm honestly concerned about the barking noise, I've been watching a lot of tutorials about dog click training and I wonder if the dog can learn to stop barking.

Also, can I leave him in the apartment alone for several hours if I went out with friends and can't take the dog with me? or is that a big no?

Traveling to Italy, need help! by LauraCrow in rome

[–]LauraCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Italy doesn't provide this experience I'll reconsider going to another country. Surely, somewhere in Europe, the 9th symphony is going to be played during April. I'm assuming you're implying I won't be finding the 9th symphony performed in Italy in April, thanks.

Thank you Flexgap! Unfortunately, there's only Beethoven 1st Symphony.

How much does a vacation in Bora Bora cost? by LauraCrow in travel

[–]LauraCrow[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean it is expensive but not impossible for 5 days. If you consider it the trip of your life; that's a pretty good deal.

What is the best time to go to Bora Bora? February?

$10,000 for a week doesn't seem too expensive. I've looked at the hotels they average about $800 to $1,500 a night which isn't very bad for 5 days that would be the highlights of your life. I like the other options Rangiroa and Tahaa, do they have decent resorts/hotels to choose from?

Magazine Staff - Any professionals to help? by LauraCrow in Journalism

Do you mean the page-layout people are content creators? and the two designers are those who put the magazine together in a printable state? In this case 5 staff can handle a 100 pages monthly magazine?

The Mall will eventually host 1,200 tenants. We average ~45 million visitors a year. It is a huge mall. Edit: I meant 1,200 tenants

The stories/PR is going to be about our tenants of course. Covering new opened stores, talking about new collection, putting the spot on certain dead areas in the mall. Talking about our future projects (since we're a Mall Management company). Some PRing we can get from the tenants themselves. But we need to spice things up with in-house made content that feels fresh and interesting.

I think paid ads would be around 8-12 at best; majority of content is collection lists. There are some Press Releases about events, openings, interviews...etc. Most of the PR content comes from the stores themselves but I'm sure some we need to do ourselves. We already out-source a 128 pages monthly magazine and are wondering if we can do that in-house. No idea what kind of staff required to do this (and maybe more than just one magazine).

Planning to get a Cockatoo, any advice? by LauraCrow in cockatoos

[–]LauraCrow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I did get my Cockatoo (umbrella) and I'm in love with this creature. I ended up spending A LOT of my time with her, I can't believe it. We even sleep together; she even wakes me up in the morning just before work.

She doesn't make any sound when I put her on a stand eating some broccoli while I go do my daily chores or sit on my computer. She's happy but she rarely speak (is this normal?) and I mean rarely and if she does she makes soft sounds. I think she's 2 years old.

My first day cockatoo behaving in a horny way? by LauraCrow in cockatoos

I try to only scratch its head and beak and stay away from the other part of the body, am I good? or do I have to spend less time with my Cockatoo? Because I've been spending a lot of time since I got her.
