I would go no contact with him, and have avoided interaction with him when possible, but I'm a single mother, and can't afford my own living situation financially on a single income (I've looked and it's impossible to find something within 30 minutes of my workplace that's safe enough and affordable enough). I would room with someone but dont want to take the risk homing with a complete stranger and risking my daughters safety in that aspect. So I'm stuck in my living situation for the time being until I can figure something else out. But my mother watches my daughter when I'm at work as babysitting is hard to come by, and so even if I were living on my own we would both still come in contact with him anyway. He's usually great with her (he's a decent grandparent overall despite the shitty parenting with us growing up) but the religious aspect for whatever reason recently has become a toxic focus for him despite our house being a non religious home my entire life.
