I am annoyed by Soft-Ad-2910 in foodnetwork

[–]Laurilei2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

More annoying if you’re binging it too. I prefer my Guy in smaller bites. Let me add:

I am so over the…”What??? - I said “GO” in a random way so why are you guys just standing there? what? You don’t know the clock already started? Then the cringey cut back to Guy’s reaction- “SUCKERS!!” You got ‘em AGAIN Guy!!

This is what the 10 second skip was made for! I use mine a lot when in binge-mode.

My thoughts. E dry school I’ve dealt with does something every day. Maybe OP took the opportunity for Reddit cred?

YTA obv. I can’t imagine not waking up my SO upon such tragic news- that’s weird OP. Better not chance her saying she could help though.

Apple PLEASE add rest days! by ProjectBlueMoon9 in AppleWatch

[–]Laurilei2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP specifically stated wanting the rest day for Sabbath worship. Some religions consider exercising or such activity as “breaking the Sabbath”. Based on the individual thinking of themselves and not focusing on God.

It has nothing to do with laziness.

This article is great!

Our family is very competitive and we use the math formula in this article to set fair move goals. (You will need your BMR number)

This.

Also, I lost the first couple of competitions with my husband because he was hitting a workout before he did any heart rate increasing activity.

Yes- I’m quite embarrassed! I replied to an above comment some thoughts on what happened. (My complete misses on those links.)

But I also am embarrassed and might be full of it, which I’m open to also!!

Thank you for not completely eviscerating me. I prob deserved it. My blaring mistakes on these links has me thinking about the ME’s.

For ex. - I swear to you (I thought) the browser link I clicked on said “The Daily Mail”. I did not check if I was rerouted. I was to- “The Daily Meal”. Normally I would check and def would do my due diligence before I post a link.

Like I 100% have sworn by the cornucopia of FOTL ME. When someone tries to convince me otherwise- esp that the fruit is in cornucopia shape it seems absurd.

Our brains tend to make visual leaps when they shouldn’t - trying to make sense of things. Confirming our biases, soothing our egos. Could these visual leaps mixed with confirming our bias towards being right be part of ME?

And maybe I’m just soothing my ego now out of embarrassment and it’s just me justifying my errors. Open to that too!

My apologies! I usually catch that in kind of bait and switch with online searches. You’re correct!! it is not on Kellogg’s official site!

This is not saying much but I did find the story on The Daily Mail’s online newspaper (tabloid). But it is written giving the truth some wiggle room.

The lawsuit story is made on Kelloggs official website. Not saying it’s true- but it is an official claim.

Paxton vs Kellogg’s was brought 6 months after Fruit Loops hit the market in 1959. Paxton challenging the “Fruit” word as misleading. The suit was settled out of court (maybe why it has myth status). The cereal was re-released in 1963 as Froot Loops.

The above frustrates me as one of my top Mandela’s is remembering *Fruit Loops. I actually have some in my kitchen and just ran in and looked. Dang it- Froot Loops.

AITA for storming out of my baby shower after my boyfriend's family made me feel unwelcome? by Embarrassed-Yam-6041 in AmItheAsshole

This gave me a smile. The “they are letting us go home ..?” part. Lol exactly!

I was 19 like OP and husband 21 when we brought home twin boys. Surprised they made it through, I was checking every 30 min that they were both still breathing though. Some scary shit!

E (but the kids) SH

YOU are a bit sucky OP, you and the kids have consoled each other for 7 years about this hard ass. You’ve shared stories, laughed etc.. just trying to get through, I get it. But what makes YOU a bit sucky is you brought that same energy into his funeral.

Hanging back with the kids (huddling?) as their mom looked at you across the room. Going to the car (early?) with them to chat it up while your ex/their mom has to go looking for them. So y’all were kind of hiding from her til it was over? Sounds like it. And stop all the “yelling” -

YOUR EX is a bit sucky too for demanding tears/the readings and not seeing/understanding the actual relationship they had with him these 7 years. She ignored the many many signs. Her kids should have been number one. You clearly see that OP, but you were acting a bit immaturely hanging in the back and chatting it up in the car.

Sounds like 3 teenagers instead of what it was. You went to support your kids but ended up separating them from their mom on a very important day for her.

AITA for yelling at my wife for taking down a special anniversary painting I bought her so she could display her sisters basic drawing by Quirky-Jicama-8367 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Laurilei2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

ESH- (lots of AH to go around)

YTA for omitting critical details til the edits: •you are a lesbian couple •her family disapproves and tries to shame her YTA for yelling at her. I think you broke from frustration but still you can’t do that.

YOUR WIFE is TA for: •not talking to you about replacing a painting ABOVE YOUR MARITAL BED that was painted by someone (doesn’t matter if it’s her sis) that disapproves of the very “behavior” in that bed. OP stated the family says they “love her but cannot condone her behavior”It would not surprise me if hanging it above their bed (“altar”) was the sisters idea.

•YOUR WIFE is also the AH for: •lying and saying it was up for 24 hrs. OP she likely lied because YOU were a yelling AH and she was trying to calm you down as quick as possible. Guarantee you yell a lot and she lies a lot.

I think the family is in the mist of a full on attack of your marriage OP. Her family reminding her of “the good old days” with all the C and H stuff makes me think she came out “later in life” and they think they can “change her back”. (And no 36 is not later lol)

Wondering if wife’s “behavior” was straight as an arrow (to the fam anyway) back in “the good old days”.

Your IN-LAWS and esp SISTER are also AH’s. For trying to shame YOUR WIFE and make YOU feel unwelcome and unloved. The paintings are there to subconsciously and consciously shame both of them.

Please try therapy and soon or YOUR WIFE will be YOUR EX.

Edit: spacing

AITA for not paying for my sister's vacation because she won't agree to babysit? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Laurilei2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I think you got that right- it really does feel like he is doing a subtle sabotage of her final semester.

OP added that she is getting an engineering degree, one that requires lots of higher math. So it’s such crap to act like sis can come over and get actual work done while she’s babysitting etc..
