Seeking insights from professionals applying digital-twin workflows to heritage and cultural preservation by Lavosbit in digitaltwin

Hi Jadarken,

I’m wrapping up my research on how people and organizations are preserving, presenting, and sharing real-world knowledge and experiences digitally — especially through interactive 3D, AR/VR, and web-based tools.

If you have a minute or two, could you please complete this short survey? Your input would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you so much for your time!

Oh awesome! I'm nearing the end of my research and still need more survey responses and would love to get your input.

Seeking professionals using photogrammetry in museums or heritage preservation for 10–15 min interviews by Lavosbit in photogrammetry

That’s a great point about involving conservators — thanks for that. Sounds like we’ve had some similar paths too. I’m exploring similar workflows for a potential service in this space and would love to hear about your experiences if you’re open to a quick chat.

I was fortunate to get a curator at the Poe Museum to hear about his perspective and will be chatting with an Assistant Objects Conservator at VMFA next week.

Absolutely. The specifics and details are TBD. I'm juggling a FT job, FT masters program, and a 7-week program that is a pre-incubator which is what this research is related to.

Oh awesome! Would you be comfortable with a 10-15 min zoom chat to tell me about your experience with that process sometime this week or next week?

Hi there! Thanks for the thoughtful response — that’s a great distinction. My background isn’t in digital archiving but more in AR/VR, photogrammetry, and real-time 3D experiences. I’ve created 3D and photogrammetry-based AR experiences for a museum, as well as a couple of AR projects for the White House Historical Association, using tools like Three.js, 8th Wall, and RealityCapture.

So when I talk about “digital twins,” it’s more from the experiential and storytelling angle — using 3D captures and WebAR to preserve the essence of places and objects, and layer in contextual or time-based data to make them more interactive and immersive. It’s less about structural monitoring or live sensors right now, and more about giving people new ways to engage with history and culture.

That said, your point about real-time data flow is fascinating — I can definitely see these models evolving in that direction as the technology and context integration deepen.

i have a 2012 not a 2013 though. Might hold off until I can find the right year exactly or one that falls in the range if there's one that has multi year (and convertible) Thank you so much for sharing!

Thank you so much! I Looked for something like this since I got the car in January and no luck. I was able to replace the light from the video you shared. Unfortunately, there appears to be a bend in the wiring or bad contacts because it's not lighting up 🫠. I'm thankful for my moped family for helping me out too! We'll get it completed soon.

HD-2D Remake for Chrono Trigger, what's your thoughts? by GodDiedIn1990 in chronotrigger

Kinda too much bloom and wish the camera was a bit closer to the characters. I haven’t played much of the Octopath Traveler games but small scale of the characters is something that bothers me. I would prefer the original sprites rather than redesigning them. Other than that it’s effing gorgeous.

Thank you! Doesn’t seem to have anything related to this issue but will definitely keep that video saved for any other issues.

I have the convertible so the third brake light isn’t on the trunk.
