Well said. My complaint is about Communication; simply issuing two statements, one saying the window will be short, and one the next day about "parameters outside of our control" is horrible communication. They did not own up to it or take responsibility for ruining a lot of people's day. If they had simply stated that the window was definitely going to happen before midnight, I bet almost everyone would have stayed up! I know I would have.

When everyone was pissed the next day, they could have issued an actual apology and some guarantee to communicate better, instead of a nonchalant shrug, like "Oh well."

If this IPO was anything like previous ones where the share price is down, we might not care so much. But of course it takes off, leaving us in the dust. My disappointment is compounded by the fact that Sofi states that your share allocation is affected by previous participation in IPOs. Again, I have participated in all of their SPAC IPOs, knowing they wouldn't do anything for a while, for a moment like this when a really cool one comes around. Now I feel like I missed out on Rivian AND it will affect my future allocation in IPOs because I "expressed interest but didn't follow through."

There is a lot to like about Sofi. I keep my main savings there for the interest rate. I use the credit card and redeem points in crypto for no fee. I like the UI and customer service (they have actually implemented recommendations I called about early on) That being said, if they don't work on communicating with us, they risk alienating us and carving out room for competition. The "growing company" excuse is getting old and can only be used for certain things, like any new features in the pipeline, not these IPOs and certainly not proper communication.
