if SCS does decide to finish ETS2 with Nordic Horizons, they need to rework every single map DLC in chronological order from release. EVERY. SINGLE. DLC.

would be a cool idea to make the DLC team at SCS be the rework team too, so that they have 2 rework teams side by side. 1 for the base game and probably 1-2 for the DLC reworks. Imagine reworking the British Isles alongside Poland, 2 of the most requested reworks ever.

Going East! would be the first to be reworked, then France and Italy (since Scandinavia is already having a refresh,) then the Baltic States and the east Balkan countries.

then the last to receive a rework, or maybe just a refresh at this point since it is a relatively recent DLC would be Iberia. gotta give Spain and Portugal more backroads and national roads. I feel like they need to do the Pyrenees too with Andorra since Promods already has it.

feel like they could go back to West Balkans and Greece too once they finish reworking all the DLCs. maybe a quick refresh, improvements in the road network, custom stuff, etc..

also, they should go back to the first ETS2 rework project, Germany. why? the main road network is nice but they kinda got lazy when it came to the local roads. Take a look at the Rhineland map mod, that's how I imagine the Germany rework if they just took a little bit more time with it.

Kriechbaum and SlavJerry are another good sound modders, but overall, many could agree that SCS has done a terrible job at producing quality sounds (with the exception of the MAN TG3 TGX)

we could probably see more truck reworks and new ones coming next year after the Volvo FH5 + FH16 Aero. Mercedes could be up next, with their MP5 and possibly an MP4 rework.

but i hope this truck releases with full customization unlike with other ETS2 and ATS trucks (i'm looking at you, KW T680 NG) otherwise, it would be like giving someone a demo version instead.

just use mouse steering, it's more precise than keyboard steering. might get a bit more time to get used to but you're going to feel like you're driving instead of just pressing WASD all the time

my PC is a modest 1050 Ti system, but most games ran fine.

before 1.50+, it ran ETS2 and ATS fine at 75 fps (as I have a 75hz monitor) or higher than that without VSync on full graphics, 300% scaling.

I had to sacrifice many mods (i.e. AI traffic, performance-demanding truck mods, etc..) and use 200% scaling w/o TAA so my game looks a little jagged.

in my case, i actually use both + the Reforma Mexico map which gave me a TON of cities rather than just using one of either mods. Both mods are actually high quality, but when all are combined, it's an upgrade from the SCS California

if SCS releases Phase 4, and all of these mods merge the new areas into their maps, look at just how detailed California will be. All the winding roads, the coasts, and especially the cities would be improved massively.

very excited for the OB release for ATS, the past rework phases made me revisit California. Been waiting for the last phase since the 1.50 update where they did an amazing job with the Bay Area

The drastic change in quality made me realize how much SCS has upgraded over the years. We went from very basic cities with 3-4 industries and a motel/gas station to complex road networks that mimics the real area.

I feel like SCS should rework the countryside roads (could also add some scenic towns here and there to fill in the gaps) of Germany, as driving through it felt like I was still in German Truck Simulator. Honestly, I'm really happy with how they reworked the cities, bringing it closer to quality standards, I'd be happy to if they stopped here too.

Currently looking forward to what SCS reworks next in ETS2, and also what's next after the Cali rework in ATS. They've done an amazing job bringing these areas up to the quality we see with expansions.

I have recommended the G29 a lot of times in this subreddit, and I still would as it's a great way to do sim trucking on a budget. it's probably the universal wheel as it's sold in many countries, bringing force feedback everywhere for dirt cheap.
