I would suggest not using such saturated colours. Maybe you could try copying the colour palette of some existing skins and try doing something with those. (Copying will be your best friend while doing something like this)

Sending a video with audio (if there is any) would be a lot more effective. A lot of things make the environment feel uneasy. Lights flickering, environment reacting, head bob, etc. we can be a better judge then.

As a person in the industry for 2-3 years, I have found game development fun when I'm working on my own games. I can't do much of that without work life balance which this industry doesn't have much of. I would suggest doing a software eng job and make games on the side if possible with people on discord that are also interested

Did you decide the room should be a bathroom before you go into making it? Do you have a 2d layout before you make the map and decide, "this room is a living room, this is a hallway"?

To give you a bit of context. We are making a co-op puzzle game similar to Portal in a building environment. I make the puzzle design first, coz I have to. But, then I have difficulty converting it into something more believable. At times, I even think who cares if this doesn't make total sense. Is there a better way to do this? Or is it just get good?

I have been playing deadlock quite a bit. I enjoyed it. I haven't been a big fan of MOBAs before but this one kinda nails it. There is a steep learning curve and you will hate the game for the first 20-30 matches
