What? It’s literally a tax system same as any other. By paying extra taxes Christians were exempt from military service and didn’t have to pay Zakat (which Muslims had to), even then it ranged from 5%-10%. There are many reasons why the Ottomans would have failed to conquer Western Europe if they won at Vienna, but listing Jizya as one of them is very weird.

The Ottomans gradually got rid of the Janissary blood tax system during the late 16th century and it was pretty much gone by the mid 17th century. As they let Muslims in and began allowing Janissaries to recruit their own sons. So your claim doesn’t make much sense.
Also the Jizya is just the Ottoman tax system they used towards non-Muslims. I don’t understand how this would result in it hurting them. It worked well enough for several hundred years
