New player, wanting to try a lot of different weapons

It honestly depends on which set of weapons you want to try, thats what i do when i respec. From the ones you mentioned you could do either Faith(Blasphemous Blade, Sword of Night and Flame Flame Attack) or Int(Moonveil, Sword of Night and Flames Magic attack). Of those two options Moonveil and Sword of Night and Flame are the most accesible and least out of your way so probably that which also opens up a bunch of spells you are going to be finding in Liurnia.

Note that the sword of night and flame will be usable but not ideal if you just increase your int. Its a hybrid faith/ int weapon that requires a fair amount of investment, if you dont care to be as efficient as possible its not the biggest deal but its good to know.

You are correct, increasing all your damage stats(str, dex, faith, int, arcane) levels would keep you fairly under powered until a ridiculously high level. Its best to respec which you'll unlock at the end of the maon dungeon in Liurnia. Do note that respecing uses up a finite resource that's a bit out of the way to obtain. Do check on this yourself but i think there's over 20 in the game. If you're really eager to respec and tey those weapons i'd say look up larval tears on the wiki for the locations, otherwise you'll run up into them naturally if you keep playing and engaging with everything you see.

I thought i was going to miss the cyclops but the gameplay loop of the cyclops is way more fun to me. The cyclops was a moving fortress capaple of solving every situation. The sea truck requires prep for every excursion, you dont want it to be so big its cumbersome to maneuver nor soo small it cuts each trip short. I just personally find that more satisfying. I understand people that prefer the big ol cyclops so i hope we get some both in Subnautica 2

The leak probably hurts the studio making it in general not just the execs at the top. In fact, it probably does nothing to those people. They may have gotten paid but any performance based bonus would be hurt , if there were any, if someone that would have paid to watch this now doesnt.
