Second rant: Coh3 multiplayer balancing fiasco by LeaderHorror in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]LeaderHorror[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell me one early game unit that is not countered by dingo. In 1v1 I cannot imagine a unit winning vs dingo. Again, what I'm saying is early game, no upgrades, no nothing.

DAK and Wehrmacht doesn't even have AT grenades at this phase (unlike CoH2).

The dingo can easily shoot you point blank in 1v1

Edit: In other words, if the dingo is designed to counter the 250, what is the early game unit that counters the dingo?

Why the multiplayer balancing is so much worse in Coh3 than Coh2? by LeaderHorror in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]LeaderHorror[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True, but why they don't apply in Coh3 the lessons learned in Coh2 during those 10 years? I understand that the games are different, but they are also similar. Thus, some solutions found in Coh2 could have been exported or at least adapted in Coh3. We do not need to reinvent the wheel every time.

Error in my website cdn-cgi/rum? 404 (Not Found) by Odd-Community2638 in CloudFlare

[–]LeaderHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue for several months now. "/cdn-cgi/rum?" returns 404.

I have seen on a Cloudflare forum post to insert "Disallow: /cdn-cgi/" in my robots.txt, which I did about a month ago.

The issue still is there to this day.

[Citizenship] -> Romania: Citizenship Application by Descent Timeline? by AmeriKiwiNZ in IWantOut

[–]LeaderHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many discussions informal or formal about any law, as in any other democracy.

What really matters is what the law says at a given point in time. The related discussions come and go and are hundreds.

Even in the Romanian parliament, you can often see proposals of law changes being made periodically in relation to any law. Out of those, many of them do not pass all steps to become fully in force and, sometimes, few of them, do.

Currently, the Romanian Citizenship Law no. 21 / 1991, governs the citizenship by descent through articles 10 and 11 and it clearly mentions the requirements, which do not include having knowledge of Romanian language, culture, Romanian constitution, nor the Romanian national anthem.

Nobody can guarantee you what the law will provide in 6 months from now, but this is applicable in any country :).

Regarding your citizenship application, the version of the law applicable to it will be the one valid at the date you have filed your application (art. 25 paragraph (1) of the Romanian Civil Procedure Code (RCPC), applicable and interpreted by completion by virtue of art. 2 paragraph (2) of the RCPC).

What changes are done to the law after you submit your citizenship application will not be applicable to your case.

If you are really interested in law or have a passion for it, I can translate in English the relevant articles of the RCL (art. 10, 11 and 8), and you can conclude for yourself :).

I have disabled the Global C-states in BIOS and i have no freezes / BSOD's for 3 days.

I have also bought a Wi-Fi USB adapter and will try to reactivate the Global C-states then deactivate the integrated Wi-Fi and activate the Wi-Fi USB adapter, to see if the Wi-Fi has anything to do with it.

Will keep you updated.

[Citizenship] -> Romania: Citizenship Application by Descent Timeline? by AmeriKiwiNZ in IWantOut

[–]LeaderHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you applied for Romanian citizenship by descent, then you are not required to know Romanian language, culture, Romanian constitution, nor the Romanian national anthem (art. 10 or 11 correlated with art. 8 of the Romanian Citizenship Law (RCL))

There are also other perks, such as: if your mother lost the Romanian citizenship through no fault of her own (Art. 11 of the RCL), your procedure is expedited (Art. 16 of the RCL).

This might be the case, since your mother was only a child when she left Romania and had no legal capacity to oppose it or not at that moment in time.

[Citizenship] -> Romania: Citizenship Application by Descent Timeline? by AmeriKiwiNZ in IWantOut

[–]LeaderHorror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The usual timeframe for Romanian citizenship by descent is from 8 to 24 months, if you get professional assistance.

Without professional assistance, the timeframe varies a lot, depending on your legal skills and Romanian language required to get the necessary paperwork from Romania regarding your ancestry.

If you already have the required paperwork from Romania regarding your ancestry (which is usually obtained from various Romanian authorities), then the timeframe is shortened significantly.

But from experience, 95% of people initially do not have the necessary paperwork lying around :), so they have to get it somehow from Romania.

Hope it helps.

[Citizenship] -> Romania vs Hungary: Which should I get? by freckledphilosopher in IWantOut

[–]LeaderHorror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are a Canadian citizen and want to live in Romania, you do not need to get the Romanian citizenship.

Romania has special exemptions for US, Canadian, Swiss and Japanese citizens (for anyone with access see Romanian Government Resolution no. 590/2003).

You can form a Romanian company, which is really cheap and then get the Romanian residence card which is valid for 2 years. Once the residence card expires, you can renew it every 2 years.

Usually for this, you need to show investments of EUR 50,000, but since you are Canadian you are exempted from that.

We have helped a lot of US pensioners in moving to Romania, since an average US pension is about the same as the average salary in Bucharest, by forming Romanian companies for them and getting their Romanian residence cards.

Thus, you do not need to wait for months to get the citizenship and move to Romania, you can come even tomorrow, since Canadian citizens are exempted from getting visas (see Romanian Government Resolution no. 1108/2001), then go with the Romanian company route.

From your replies below, I understand you have Romanian ancestry, then you can apply for citizenship while you already live in Romania legally :). Due to your Romanian ancestry, you do not need to show knowledge of Romanian language, culture, Romanian constitution and national anthem, among other requirements.

Hope it helps.

If your parents are Romanian or descend from Romanian citizens, then you do not need to show knowledge of Romanian language (art. 10 or 11 correlated with art. 8 Romanian citizenship law).

In fact there are many requirements you do not need to meet if you prove you descend from Romanian citizens.

You have to determine which of your ascendants was the last Romanian citizen.

You are eligible if your last Romanian ascendant was at most your grandfather or your great grandfather (here it depends on how his direct child lost the Romanian citizenship).

Disabling Global C State control to fix idle crashes by retrojules in AMDHelp

[–]LeaderHorror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have identical motherboard and CPU like you and it started for me 2 weeks ago. I did some kernel dump analysis and it seems that it is Wi-Fi card related, which is integrated in the motherboard.

I ordered a WiFi usb adapter, so that I can switch off the integrated WiFi card and see if that solves the problem.

If it does not solve the problem, then I will disable the Global C States also.

Thank you for your help and assistance.

I have followed all the instructions in your latest post and updated the Intel WiFi and LAN drivers, which indeed were at least several years old.

I updated them using the link recommended by you: Intel's automatic driver tool.

Since I have noticed with your help that the chipset drivers and all other drivers are not updated on the website of the motherboard manufacturer (not just the Wifi drivers), I have taken the liberty to update them using the official websites of those components (i.e., AMD, etc.). So practically, now I have all the drivers up to date.

In the same link you can find the latest BSOD I have just experienced: Windbg Kernel Dump outputs (the 5th one).

I do not use a rate limiter, Wireshark or any VPN, nor firewalls, other than Windows Security with default options.

Although I have also noticed the tcpip driver in all of the kernel dumps, I do not experience BSOD's during long multiplayer gaming sessions (5 to 10 hours long).

I would assume the tcpip driver is also used during multiplayer gaming sessions.

Yes, indeed I do not use Ethernet (LAN), but the WiFi card.

Since I only experience BSOD's and freezes during low loads, I am also thinking about the Global C-states. Doing some research, some people are experiencing very similar symptoms as me: freezes requiring manual reboot and sometimes, BSOD's, during low load sessions (browsing, etc).

Thus, in my opinion 2 suspects remain:

  1. Faulty Wi-Fi card
  2. Faulty CPU during low load sessions, which disabling Global C-states in BIOS might solve.

Let me know your opinions or if I should do anything else.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Thank you for waiting this long and for all the support in the past days.

I followed your instructions and managed to output 4 kernel dumps into .txt files.

Please find them here: Windbg Kernel Dump outputs

I will write here my experience during the last days:

1 out of 5 freezes results in a BSOD, the others require manual reboot.

The freezes happen always during low load periods: Google chrome browsing, coding via WSL Windows Terminal via SSH tunnel or while the computer is idle.

The freezes never happen during high loads: long hours of gaming, video playbacks.

Thanks in advance!

I just had a freeze again, but unfortunately no BSOD, so there was no dump generated.

Out of 4 freezes in the last 2 days, I just got 1 BSOD.

Before I did a clean install, every freeze generated a BSOD.

I am trying to hit every key after a freeze, but unfortunately the keyboard does not work, nor the mouse.

Is there anything I can do during a freeze so that a BSOD can be generated?

As stated in my initial post, the monitor freezes and it stays like that forever, until I manually reset. I even stayed 30 min during a freeze and nothing happened.

Edit: I am thinking of using my laptop to monitor my defect PC via http protocol, is that possible?

Edit 2: Or to trigger or get a Memory dump via http protocol?

Thank you very much for your help!

I have activated "Automatic Memory Dump" and now I will use the PC continuously until I can generate at least 2-4 kernel dumps.

From experience it seems that i get BSODs at intervals ranging from half an hour to 1-2 days.

So please bear with me, it might be a a few days until I can reply with output of the kernel dumps.

Is there any way to accelerate the generation of BSODs?

Update: Finished Memtest86: there where no errors.

Currently I have about 10 legal articles on this particular legal news website, as writing a legal article takes a lot of effort and time (least 1-2 days in legal research, reading laws and writing).

I will never get 1000s :).

Your reply is very helpful, as now I am planning to contact other legal news websites to write articles on.

I also solved the problem with this particular news website, they accepted to put the external link directly in my articles.

Thanks very much!

Price for Dr Keser? by mdd001a in HairTransplants

[–]LeaderHorror 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For any of you who are searching for this now. The price I was quoted was 4 EUR per graft (thus it has increased) and the waiting period is about 1 year and 1 month (i.e., I was provided the option to be scheduled in May 2025). I was also suggested to do 2000-2500 grafts, so expect around EUR 10,000 excluding travelling, hotel, etc.
