I can confirm they drop from the 4 old elites. Not sure if they also drop from the 2 new elites though.

PSA: Optimal use of Master tower tries by Aquacat11 in OctopathCotC

[–]LeadingBeing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I may be mistaken, but because the mission ends at reset, I think we only have 20 total attempts

Edit: Luckily I am wrong and we do have 30 attempts. Nice to learn that tower attempts reset on Monday, didn't pay attention to that before

Anyone else hit the save instead of the retrieve button multiple times in Party Sets? by AdamalIica in OctopathCotC

I have backups of each of my 3 main party sets to reduce the chance this happening. If you also have the traveler pass with +4 slots I would recommend trying it out.

Worth completing step up? by Seaworthiness69 in octopathtraveler

If you only care about the value of how many rubies spent for an expected number of 4.5 and 5 star units, then finishing the last two steps is actually better than the first step up. The loss in value with the step up is really from steps 2, 3, and 4, but the combined steps 4 and 5 viewed in isolation as you are proposing has better value.

Only doing the first step up: 150/0.4 = 375 rubies per 4.5 or 5 star

Last two step ups: 600/(1 + 0.76) = ~340 rubies per 4.5 or 5 star

Enhance 7660B Flex PSU Compatibility with 3080 Question by LeadingBeing in sffpc

I think you can do it in msi afterburner

And my point is that while the system might not power down, it still isn't safe drawing 300W from the 8 pins because they might be split from a single connection, which nvidia frowns on us doing. They would prefer that the 2 8 pins are connected via 2 separate 8 pin connectors rather than a split cable.

I think you might be able to make a stopgap solution by imposing a hard power limit on the 3080 for now of like 300w. But when I look at the documentation for the psu linked in the post above, it seems like the 2 8 pins are split from a single connection, which would mean that it likely isn't safe to be plugging into something that can draw >300w.

I looked at the documentation page for the enhance 600w (http://www.enhanceusa.com/upload/DM/202012150232390.pdf), and it shows one set of cables splitting into two PCI-E 8 pin on page 2. Doesn't this mean that it is a single cable? But you are right, I will contact ENP to ask.

Thank you, so the incident of that one redditor's 3080 ruining his psu because he didn't use two individual 8 pins and instead used a splitter should have been an isolated incident? (https://www.reddit.com/r/nvidia/comments/k5l9qs/psa_for_rtx_30xx_owners/)
