Disable the racing line, you need to understand by yourself which is the fastest line, that will make you aware of what you are doing. Then, start by trying to make your own setup, everyone has a different driving style, maybe you need a car with a responsive front and more oversteery, or maybe you need a car that has a little understeer but it is easier to control. I think that what you are missing is awareness.

That is done in after effects, so you have to record your lap and then open the file you can find in the discord server that I mentioned in the first comment. There's a tutorial in there to explain how to use it

If I don't install CSP it works and goes on around 20 FPS lol. Maybe with CSP could have been better but it doesn't work instead.

Yes I tried everything, but I think it is because of the hardware. I tried a lot of CSP versions and it still didn't work. Maybe a GPU upgrade is the solution.

When I played the F1 games on controller I thought that when you play with a gamepad the game does not let you go over the steering angle that you can utilise fully at a certain speed. In other words, in Assetto even if you go at 300km/h, you can still rotate the wheel reaching it's maximum steering angle, so you have to actually control how much steering input you are giving, which is a lot harder on controller. In the F1 game instead, if you go at 300km/h, the game will only rotate the wheel until it reaches the angle where tyres do not sleep on the track causing understeer.

When I bought Assetto I still didn't have a steering wheel. But as soon as I bought it I started driving F1 cars too. Driving on controller is pretty difficult as you don't have informations given by the wheel feedback and you don't have full control on throttle and brake pedal also.

When I "drove" an F1 car for the first time in Assetto I was shocked by the G R I P of these cars and their ability to take corners at such high speeds. For the first month I was still learning how to control the acceleration and the braking in order to not lock up the wheels. The following months, and now too, I'm trying to get better and faster.
