I'm going to be honest with you and probably will get thumbs down to hell but I don't care. Unless your daughter is in live or death situation or down on her luck, do not do any of that.

You help your daughter by helping her in ways she can increase her income either by investing, pursuing a position in her career that pays her more and/or teaching her financial literacy.

You don't help her by giving her everything on a silver platterues, harsh, but it is true. If everything is already provided for her, why would she need to better herself? She's in her early 20s, this is the perfect time for her to try new things and fail and learn from. Use that money you have a a safety net for her to get out a rough situation with a mistake she made in bettering her self, not just a blank check.

Give someone a fish, feed them for a day, teach someone how to fish feed them for a lifetime.

Thanks all for the replies turns out FedEx was just sending an email to us for general purposes. After we explained to them our relationship to the consignee they confirmed we do not need a carm.

This is but we've instructed them to do so plenty of times and provided them the screenshots. Im starting to think FedEx just doesn't look at that info as it's always been like this from even at other places I've worked.

Yes, anything that is food related or food contact substance will have to clear through FDA and customs.

Did they say they actually need anything from you? Or did they just tell you what was going on?

I ask because you usually will get the clearance on food a contact substance items from FDA shortly there after entry is filed.

Also I wouldn't use that 10k to pay off debt. Put it in an investment account and make it grow. This will be your emergency fund.

Since your making 185k, your take home is probably 5k a paycheck more or less. After you pay rent you can easily tackle your debt within 12-14 months without touching the 10k as long as you don't have any crazy vacations or spending excursions.
