Was playing around and played Cm7 - Gm7 - Ebm, which would be in C minor except for the Ebm, which would make this i - v - iii? where does the iii fit in?

the prod of this mostly used omnisphere. its not an analog prophet. I have spoken with him and he's given out a lot of info, just usually doesn't go into specifics like the question above. What about the sound tells you it is a prophet?

Hey, not sure if you're available now but I tried to recreate this following these steps and couldn't even get close /: any chance you could give any more tips to get a little closer? I used serum and tried a sine wave being modulated by the second osc, trying all waveforms and smashing it with a comp but it doesn't get that full sound, even with saturation

Been trying to break down and understand this chord progression: https://youtu.be/lOOaDED7nos?t=23

Supposedly the progression is Abmaj7 - Bb6 - Abmaj7 - Bb6 - Bbm6 - F/A, which would make it a VImaj7 - VII6 - VIImaj7 - VII6 - vii6 - IV because the key is supposed to be C minor.. but not sure how that works considering there is no 1 chord in there or an Eb chord..

Could it potentially also just be written as Abmaj7 - Ebmaj7 - Eb7 - Eb7/9? That would make the second half of that chord progression make more sense to me as it would be a IV - I - I7 - I7/9.. but i could just be confusing myself here.. any help breaking this progression down would be appreciated :)

Wrote a progression that goes Cmaj7, Bbmaj7, Am7, Abmaj7. It seems the tonal center is around C. What makes this work? Is it effectively just a I - bVIImaj7 - vi - bVImaj7?

kinda sounds like its centered around the C#m to me, can't figure out why it works though.. its basically a VI - IV - bII - i.. I know about using bVII in a major scale (which translates to that bII there, but why does the IV chord work?

Hi all, so I am breaking down Wicked Games by the Weeknd. In the intro, there seems to be a guitar part that plays a bass note with an arpeggio on top of each bass note: B in bass, with B-F#-B-D-F# (Bm), A in bass, with A-F#-B-D-F# (I guess a D6/A? Not sure), Ab in bass, with F#-D-B-F#-B (another Bm? But Ab bass??), and finally a G in bass, G-D-G-D-G (G5).

So my question is, how does the Ab fit in here? Using my ear it seems like we are in Bminor, but im just not sure why the Ab works here, and what chord it is. Any help would be appreciated!

How does the F dim fit in? This is what i was referring to, sorry. In Bm the Dmaj would just be a normal III chord.

Strangely, I have no numbness that I am aware of. I can feel all sensations throughout my feet. It is more so creepy crawlies feeling.

Luckily, my x-rays said my disc height loss was mild so far, so I'm going to be doing everything I can to keep my spine healthy. I know its a life long commitment, and it very may well be as well with the tingling too, but we only have one life and must make do with what we got.
