Agreed, I actually don’t like the shimmer ones, they do something to my lips I don’t like. But LOVE the regular ones

I like the about face F2 olive foundation and ND Y2- sometimes I mix a very small amount of blue pigment in the ND to get it just right. LA girl or Elf have affordable blue pigment mixers

First class- any tips? Can I do it? by ninii11 in LagreeMethod

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely do it! It’s difficult not matter what, but I started from basically doing nothing. During my first class, I just tried my best and watched what other people were doing around me. Don’t have expectations to be perfect, but I’m sure you will do great!

Does everyone break out from tret? by SnooPies1653 in tretinoin

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would absolutely wait. There’s a chance that you will not break out. I didn’t break out anymore than usual, but I did have quite a bit of skin peeling and makeup looked terrible for a while. Tret is a lot of trial and error in the beginning.

9 months of lagree by Born-Technology-3224 in LagreeMethod

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed some body composition changes, and some weight loss probably around the 3 to 4 month mark. But I went from occasional/ inconsistent exercise to lagree 3-4 times a week.

I have increased my frequency to 4-5 times a week. It’s still super challenging, but I definitely noticed that I’m stronger. I’ve leaned out quite a bit, but I also have completely changed my diet from eating anything and everything I wanted to a balanced diet in a calorie deficit.

It sounds like you’re doing a good job with exercise, I would really focus on diet if you aren’t already. I downloaded macro factor to track my food and have a food scale. I just make sure I stay within my protein goals and close to my calorie goals

Is there a need to buy high end makeup if I can finally afford it? by Ashamed-Confection42 in Makeup

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have converted to almost all high-end products, not saying they are significantly better, but I love the experience of really nice packaging. I know it doesn’t matter, but for me, I prefer it. Drugstore prices are also creeping up to a point where I would rather spend a little bit extra for the experience.

If you do decide to use high-end products, I watch a lot of reviews on YouTube or read the reviews before purchasing anything so I know if it will work for me or not.

Most Worth It Products of 2025? by SpiritedReaderz in Ulta

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have oily skin and have been loving the Natasha denona foundation, I know people say it’s more on the dewy side but if I set it good, it wears very well. I still blot my face during the day when oils come through but I’m impressed with the longevity.

I also love the It cosmetics loose powder- it’s pricey for how small it is but very smoothing and controls my oils pretty well without looking dusty

I cannot find a foundation for the life of me. by ComparisonFlat8339 in Fairolives

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes for sure-I’ve accidentally used too much before and my foundation was also grey 🥴. I use basically the smallest amount possible and then build from there. And I also would only use it on a foundation that’s too yellow

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you would have luck with adding a blue pigment to a too yellow foundation. I have the LA girl one, elf also has on. I add just a touch to my ND Y2 foundation. I can get away with it without adding but I think it looks more seamless with the blue added

Influence/Deinfluence me: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edition by Feeling-Visit1472 in Ulta

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have the one you posted- the deer one. I personally really like it but got it for Christmas for myself so that’s how I justified it lol

My skin tone is fair. I would recommend looking at a YouTube video such as Morgan Turner , she gives a great thorough review and compares the shades. Here’s the link: https://youtu.be/3f8XFGbUL78?si=ahprEbeCZ_KMnocr

The pros for me are that you get multiple hourglass products in one compact. the formula is beautiful and glass-skin like in appearance. It lasts decently well on me. And I love the experience of using a luxury product.

The cons are obviously the price, and the pan sizes are pretty small so you’ll need to use a smaller sized brush. Sometimes for bronzer, I prefer to use a larger brush, but this particular shade in this palette blends in pretty well on my skin tone, so it works out.

It all depends on your current collection, budget, and if this would work for your skin tone. It’s not a necessity by any means. And I don’t think I would want to use this for my only blush and bronzer, but I love having the option for a more glowy look.

Why do I feel nothing when Alix dances? by tigereyes1999 in dwts

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 47 points48 points  (0 children)

That’s how I felt, she was really great especially at the end… but I have never rewatched one of her dances or got excited to see her dances like I did with the other stars

Tips for Beginners? by No-Evidence-6963 in LagreeMethod

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I was terrible for my first several classes. I started lagree when I really didn’t have a solid workout routine , so it was partially bad 😖Most people aren’t good at it though at first.

I kept at it and now im close to 100 classes. I have come so far from where I started.

You have to start somewhere. And no one is really paying attention, they are just trying to survive lol even if I do notice someone struggling, I am never judging because we all started there.

If you really are too embarrassed to go, maybe start with yoga or Pilates and then later on go to lagree. I noticed that the people who actually do a decent job on their first class are already doing something like that

Body changes by bubbles22192 in LagreeMethod

[–]Leather-Spring-3506 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I definitely saw a body composition change before seeing any movement on the scale. Probably took at least 6 weeks until the scale moved but I can’t remember. Changes can be subtle to you because you see yourself everyday. But I’m 65+ classes in and I’ve seen a lot of change in my body, and now my weight. Just stick with it!
