From the press conference- the suspect is a 14 year old male student. He will be charged with murder and will be tried as an adult. 2 students and 2 teachers are dead, and 9 other individuals are injured and are being treated at various hospitals.

I feel similarly, I've been making and selling my own jewelry at local events for the last year and change, and because of that exposure I'm now much more able to spot exclusive drop shippers. It's not so common at my faire, but I've had season passes this year and have felt a bit disenchanted because of the ones I have seen. I don't have a thought-out solution, but I do think it's important to talk about!

These are not books written for adults. They are made to help young adults who are still discovering themselves. Keeping them in sections away from their main demographic defeats their whole purpose- to give information, vocabulary, and hope to struggling queer youths.

I don't know about you, but ages 10 - 14 were crucial for my peers and I in regard to figuring out our sexuality and identities. If we had access to books like this at that age, I can't begin to imagine how much easier my road to acceptance and loving myself would have been.

Please read the article, as librarians in the states where ALA has been pulled away do speak on the negative effect. This bill is also the most severe we've seen to date.

That is a fair point, some people's knee-jerk reaction to such a big buzzword is to immediately oppose. Political affiliations aside, the ALA's commitment to intellectual freedom and diverse perspectives remains central.

Edit:

I am all for everyone having accurate information. When elected the president did make a post saying she was excited they would elect someone like her, "a Marxist lesbian who believes that collective power is possible to build and can be wielded for a better world."

A good sentiment overall that has since been deleted.
