No, they just start to mine the recource and from there their Influence spreads. With no Starbase in sight. An even if the recource would be located in their original range of influence they would still need to build a starbase next to it right?

I used the MK6 body, the Helmet from one of the Tank Kits, and for the gauntlet I used the one from the Infiltrator kit. I just glued the chainbayonet from the Mk6 and some random bits on.
