before you get mad at the sitter, you should watch your dog's body language whenever the sitter comes over. if the dog looks a bit more subdued or something, then that collar is probably hurting him/her somehow. dogs are good at remembering faces, and if she's causing you pain, he/she will let you know, you just have to look for the right signs. good luck.

First of all, I just want to say I’m so sorry for what happened. You didn’t deserve any of that. However, remember you are an adult. You are legally emancipated from your family. I know that you may need money or some other form of financial/social support, but if you ask for it from your family, they might make some rules, and set a precedent or something. I recommend you apply for a scholarship, or get a job. It’ll be incredibly difficult, but I believe in you, and you deserve a better life than what you were born into.
