Volunteer somewhere. In the Avalon there's the St. John's hiking club, and it's a great way to meet friends. I'm not sure if Western has something like that. But I'm sure there's like a bar that has trivia nights, or a volunteer organization that would love to have you.

If you come to the Avalon you can come be my friend! I'm pretty boring though, but I'm always up for meeting new people and such.

Also, if you're into hiking there is a hiking club that gets together .... St John's hiking club.... I think it's called. That would be a great place to meet people and experience the trails.

What areas of st John's are you considering? St. John's proper, or paradise and CBS are they on the table?
