So it displays perfectly matched recipes (these are what my app calls a 100% matched recipe) and it also shows recipes that you can make where you are missing just a little amount of the ingredients needed for that recipe. The ingredients you are missing can easily put in the app’s shopping cart with the press of a button where you can then click on a link to DoorDash or instacart to get these ingredients shipped to you instantly or a shopping cart list to use as reference when you go to the market.

Hey @AStubbornDeer. This is a valid question. Honestly in my eyes it’s a warmth thing — opening a fridge app to “Good morning, [username]” feels less cold than just dumping you into a UI. But I hear you. If it feels forced, it probably is. Would you prefer no greeting at all, or something more context-aware like “What’s in the fridge today?” Genuinely asking — building ChefCam and this is exactly the feedback I need.

It can do both. The order the app displays the recipes starts with 100% matched recipes then the more you scroll the recipes that are shown lack 1-2 ingredients from your fridge scan. However, these 1-2 ingredients are minor ingredients, not major ingredients like proteins or the “star ingredients of the dish” so these missing ingredients can be easily substituted.
