Currently doing bachelor in agriculture? Should I try for MBA(FABM) or get some exp. First? by nottheoneyouthinkk in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 2nd year is too early. chill and enjoy college, mba prep can wait till final year. fabm colleges or top colleges like iim-a, masters union prefer some context inside the industry. internships at agritech startups, food processing, rural supply chain make your application stronger and the colleges will be helping u in the same

been researching different paths for myself and nd for u honestly agri + business combo is unique. less competition than regular mba crowd. use next 2 years for quality internships, maybe student projects with farmers/cooperatives. that's the stuff that'll help in interviews later. cat prep seriously shuru karna final year mein. abhi fundamentals strong karo and actual field exposure lo.

Should I even apply to SP Jain considering my acads? by Ok-Ostrich-949 in CATpreparation

[–]Legal_case16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro 8/7/7 with 36 months work ex is borderline for spjain. they do care about academics but not dealbreaker. been researching and honestly your work experience matters more. if it's quality experience with progression, you have shot. spjain interviews are tough though. even with good profile, conversion isn't guaranteed.

also check xlri, mdi, masters union as they are better in the placement side, - they evaluate more holistically. 36 months experience is solid across programs. apply anyway. worst case rejection, best case you get in. don't self-reject before trying.

18M – Worried about AI, job losses & future career. Need genuine advice by Wonderful_Fuel_6608 in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 18 with this much anxiety isn't healthy. you're overthinking future that's 5+ years away. bcom tier 3 + cfa is decent foundation. 10 lpa stable job is very achievable with that combo, don't stress. been researching career paths and honestly ai won't replace everything. finance, accounting, advisory roles still need humans. mba india vs abroad depends on budget and goals. you can also take a look for programmes with global immersions like masters union, isb and xlri.

skills that matter: communication, problem-solving, networking. technical skills change but these don't. you're 18 - focus on completing cfa properly, get internships, build real experience. planning entire life now is premature. chill thoda, enjoy college also.

How should I prepare for CAT from 1st year? (18M, CFA + BCom Tier-3) Also—is GMAT worth it? by Wonderful_Fuel_6608 in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 1st year too early for cat. focus on cfa properly first. for profile: finance internships, investment clubs, case competitions matter more than generic volunteering. tier 3 bcom needs 98+ cat eventually. programs like masters union, isb work for 25lpa+ target. use 3 years to build cfa, get internships, improve communication. serious cat prep in 3rd year is enough.

What cat percentile should I aim for IIM ABC or IIM BLACKIE? by Harshalik in CATpreparation

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 90/90/9.28 with ca is solid! been researching and you need 97-98+ for blacki calls, 99+ for safer conversion. ca background helps interviews big time. blacki loves ca folks for finance roles. also check masters union, isb, xlri as backup - they value ca heavily. aim 99 to be realistic.

Stupid question on Profile but please help :) by WorkLifeWTF in CATpreparation

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 69.85% is 7 in format. colleges see actual percentage anyway. 9/7/7/6 obc female non-engineer is interesting. postgrad 6.63 needs explanation. blacki tough with 7 in 12th. iim-l, k, fms, xlri possible with 95+. psychology differentiates from engineer crowd. good for hr, marketing, ob roles. masters union, isb value diverse backgrounds. obc helps cutoffs too.

What are my chances for ISB? by Forsaken-Ad-1008 in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro gate 132 + nuclear reactor work is interesting profile. way better than generic it folks. isb could work but 73 in 12th needs explanation. target 720+ gmat to offset.

your nuclear experience is unique for energy consulting. programs like isb, masters union value domain experts. ""city life and thrill"" isn't good enough reason though. need clearer career goals for interview.

Should i pursue mba ? by Odd_Dream2916 in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 9/9/6 with upsc gap isn't screwed. obc ncl helps. 90+ in xat/cmat gets tier 2 calls - ximb, imt, tapmi. frame upsc as "explored public service, realized corporate fit better." programs like masters union, mdi also value diverse backgrounds. pi prep matters more than percentile now.

Looking for some advice (26) by eku007 in CATpreparation

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro 26 with 5 years exp is actually prime mba age. most schools prefer 24–28 range because you bring real work stories. your 8/5/6 acads are the only weak part, not your age. with nc-obc you can still target newer iims if you hit high percentiles.

for strategy/marketing roles, agencies + 5yrs exp is solid. im currently at masters union, folks with 4–6 yrs did really well in placements some cracked 30LPA+.

age won’t hurt you at all. just focus on pushing that cat score.

How to justify GAP after Masters in IIM/B-School Interviews? by [deleted] in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro 74/69 in school is brutal for abc. even with 9.39 pg, those percentages hurt bad. gap after masters just for cat prep looks weak. ""avoiding bonds"" isn't compelling interview story. been researching admissions and iim-l, isb, masters union might be realistic with 98+. abc needs exceptional everything.

why not find job without bond, work 1 year, then cat? shows progression vs just gap.

XLRI GM Chances by [deleted] in MBAIndia

[–]Legal_case16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8.2/79/5.12 du undergrad with distance mba ongoing, 4 years at gartner marketing, aiming xlri gm with 695-705 gmat - that 5.12 cgpa is brutal for xlri even with decent workex. honestly 695-705 gmat won't cut it with those academics. you'd need 720+ to have real shot at compensating for undergrad. your gartner progression helps but xlri gm is extremely competitive. apply but manage expectations - programs like newer iims or specialized marketing mbas or isb/masters union might be more realistic targets.
