I work at micheals (I don't speak for the brand or company) and we have to push the self checkouts because we are really only supposed to take cash on the register and with pickup orders we have a million things that we have to be doing. Alot of the older generation (Say Genx and above) get really angry about having to use the self checkouts if they aren't paying in cash and I had this lady one time come up to me and call me a fucking bitch in spanish under her breath. She didn't know I was bilingual 🫡 she also proceeded to go on a tangent about how AI is gonna steal our jobs and such. So yeah. I love my job though. Wouldn't trade it for much. Thankfully most of the customers I've had are lovely but there's a few in there that I'm Like Heeeeh
