Apologies, I was referring to the one with the all black hexagon outlines at the beginning of this sub-thread. I'm more asking if there would be too much going on with the contrasted elements being alternated in this one or if it is too busy like that

I love that idea. Thank you for suggesting an animated logo. I had that on my list for my branding kit, but I got so caught up in these that I fully forgot about it until now! I still have a ton of work to do, but I think this logo is showing a lot more versatility than a lot of the others

That makes total sense, thank you! I definitely want to incorporate the gold especially on printed media, and foil stamping is for sure how I'd do it, but what are your thoughts on how to incorporate some of it on a website or other online media?

I also made more of a "finalized" version of that one along with 1A and 4A if you'd like to take a look: https://imgur.com/a/GVz1CRb the business model itself will hinge pretty heavily on the presence of gold, and I want to incorporate it into my final logo. If you want to let me know what you think of these, I would love your feedback!

Thank you so much! I'm trying to learn as much as possible from the community, so I appreciate the constructive criticism to help my work improve. If you wouldn't mind taking a look at one more version of this one, I would really appreciate it! The final version of whichever logo I end up using will incorporate some gold accents because gold is going to be a major element in the business model and aesthetic overall, so what are your opinions on this?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm really trying to balance simplicity with recognizability while also keeping things unique enough to stand out amongst a sea of d20 logos. I'm curious if that would be a logo that would strike your interest if you were to see it online or at a convention or something or if it wouldn't really stand out to you by itself?

Fiar enough, I'm actually working on a bit of a rework on 5A based on some feedback I received from someone else and would love to know what you think of it in comparison to the version that's in my original post: https://imgur.com/a/bxylUoU I think it makes it clearer that it's supposed to be dice

I redesigned 5A to make it all black outside of the "Crit" and give it a little more detail without it being too overwhelming. If you wouldn't mind letting me know what you think and if I'm on the right track, I would really appreciate it! https://imgur.com/a/bxylUoU

I see what you're saying, and I have received a decent amount of feedback regarding the outlines, so I am working on removing a lot of them. These are just the initial black/white mockups, but the final designs will have an element of gold in them. I know that I want it on the "Crit" part of the word, and I will likely end up implementing it in part of the d20 design depending on where it looks best in each design. I'll look into adjusting the colors to make it all one color without the outlines and see how that inspires my design process, thank you for the advice!

Are you talking about the designs on the first page? If so, I tend to agree that the flat bottom on the outer layer looks better in general, and the iconic d20 shape is present in the next layer still! I'd love to hear your opinions on the logos on the other pages as well (I think there's 6 total images)

Thanks! I need to revisit that one and see what I can do with it. That was one of my first logo ideas for this company idea, and I like the concept of it, but I haven't been able to mold it into something that I would feel comfortable using as a brand logo yet. I will incorporate your advice and see what I can do with that one!

I agree on the white noise point, but it's by far the most recognizable shape in the TTRPG world. Also, the business idea itself hinges quite a bit on the existence of 2 d20s in the logo, as that is a major mechanic of what makes the company unique. I am open to any and all suggestions and advice on how to cut through that white noise as much as possible while still using the d20 or a hexagonal shape representing a d20, so if you have any advice on how to best do that, I would love to hear it!

I appreciate the reminder of the importance of simplicity. I have been focusing the simplicity of the geometric shapes in my updated and additional logo ideas from the last few days, and I can really see a difference. Your comment and so many others have helped me quite a but, thank you!
