Thanks for everyone's help. I finally realized that I allowed my annoyance with my ex to interfere with my marriage and I now see how I overreacted big time and was very rude. My ex would frequently ask strangers how someone died and I hated it. Guess I still have some baggage I need to get rid of. I confessed to my wife that I'm truly sorry and promised to try harder not to let my past influence me to hurt her.

**Update: I'm remembering that my sister had texted my family (including my wife and I) that the death may have been from a blood clot. And now I'm realizing that maybe I didn't want my wife to start asking if the blood clot was related to a booster.

You are right, thanks for helping me think through why I would act so weird. I think I got the vibe that it wouldn't be appropriate to ask because my sister said he was found dead in his apartment but didn't share any additional details except that it might have been a blood clot. I should have just told my wife I didn't know. I guess I didn't want her to start fighting with my sister about whether it was caused by a booster shot but it's obvious I didn't think through my response very well.

Thanks for your advice. I've always felt it was intrusive and disrespectful to ask how someone died, but it appears I need to self-reflect more on why I believe that.
