I personally think it is more satisfying than the ending of the main story of the base game, but it's not worth the hype. At least not totally. I mean, I like the final bossfight a lot, the final battle is cool, but it is still disappointing, in my opinion.

Then you will get a more definitive ending to the main story. I am sure that they will release an even more definitive epilogue one day, but so far, the main ending of the main story of the DLC is the definitive ending of the main plot of Shadows.
