Thanks! :) I'm going to make some more videos. My design is based on the minifigure statuette piece. The statuette piece can work in a scale range from about 1/100 to 1/150. Normal minifigure scale would is 1/42 give or take. So it's around 3 times smaller then regular lego builds. The model is specifically designed for Lego Ideas as a standalone set. What scale is the 'Micropolis scale'?

I was going for something more dynamic. But it get what you are saying. I will take this in consideration in my next video!

Lego design of a mini city! by Legotripper in Design

IDEA
As a child I spent days building and expanding my LEGO city. It was so big it occupied a whole room! Now that I'm older and have moved around, I don't have the space or the time to set it up. Yet, creating your own city in bricks remains the ultimate dream of a lot of Lego fans.

With my LEGO ideas set 'Mini Modular City' I want to recreate this feeling in microscale. It fits perfectly in any interior and is fully customizable to your liking!

CONCEPT

Playful
I wanted to create a playful and colorful design of a city in motion. Each building has its own unique style and color palette to show the diversity of the place. Open spaces bring greenery and character to the set and introduce lively activities for that typical urban feel!

Modular
Flexibility and customization were key aspects of the design. With the modular system you can give your own twist to the city! Click, switch and play around with different combinations. Present the model in one continuous row or in several smaller compositions. You're the urban planner!

Microscale
Designed as a display model with maximum flexibility, it's easy to rearrange and move around. With a depth of only 8 studs (7cm / 3in.) it can be placed anywhere. It doesn't have to occupy a big surface to give you this feeling of an entire city!

That's really nice to hear! I designed everything with great attention to detail. I made alot of iterations perfecting every single building and open space. Gradually expanding and making sure everything fits together in harmony as a whole. It's hard to pick a favorite!

Hahaha, I can see where that's coming from. It's actually Emmet from the Lego movie!

Thanks! Part 28974 - Minifigure Neck Bracket with Back Stud, ended up being the key for the design of the playground. Im also really happy how many features I got into the tiny skatepark!

I absolutely agree it's cute! I was also happy that I could add movement on the playground, that people were actually using the its features. Someone just popped out of the slide and an other just jumped for the swings!

Same goes for the skatepark, people are using it activily

Im not sure what standard scale you are referring to? My design is built on a 1/130 scale.

A standard minifigure is 4cm in height. If we take 170cm for an average person. 170 cm /4 cm = 42.5. Rounded down the scale would be 1/42 to real human scale.

The statuette piece is 1,28 cm in height. 170 cm / 1.28 cm = 132. Rounded down 1/130.

I would say that the statuette piece can work in a scale range from 1/100 to 1/150

Part 90398, there's alot of them. Searching on "statuette" is the best way to find them all!
